Just like the last few years, injuries will ravage the team and sink them to the bottom of the standings.

dapperfied 12-11-2017 09:53 AM

The curse of the Canucks.

According to Elliot it's just the Sens trying to rustle Karlsson's Jimmys because of his comments.

They'd be stupid to trade Karlsson unless they get a king's ransom and then some.

30 other teams would be happily asking what model dump truck Karlsson wants to deliver the money to his porch if he goes to Free Agency

Jmac 12-11-2017 10:49 AM

The Canucks have better depth at forward this year. I don’t think it’ll be as steep of a cliff this time.

Mike Oxbig 12-11-2017 12:40 PM

Karlsson needs methot as his partner... Or a reliable partner to cover his ass when he chips in

We have tanev to do that but we won't be contending during Karlssons prime.

Chaput is here to ........ ensure Sven will always have a job whenever he’s better lol

I guess Goldobin was too good getting 1G, 1A and +3 in 4 games??? Coach Green thought we score too much so Dowd and Burmistrov and Chaput are playing ahead of him?..............

Renthal 12-11-2017 04:44 PM

yikes hope bess is ok

68style 12-11-2017 05:12 PM

Nice work Chaput :fullofwin:

6thGear. 12-11-2017 05:13 PM

Wow the last jets goal was all Chaputs fault. Coughing it up then 2 soft defensive plays. Fuck he sucks

Showcasing Burmistrov for a trade

At the rate he's going (point per game average), he will break the franchise record for most points as a rookie. Wiki says it's set by Bure at 60 points. Brock is 32 points away and has 51 more games to play.

Nabatron 12-12-2017 12:36 AM

brock is the only highlight of this dumpster fire of a team lol no wonder big russian bear wanted out....

6o4__boi 12-12-2017 06:12 AM

Lol Boeser is pretty much the only reason my TV is even on during a Canucks game.

If Boeser gets injured I'd have zero interests in spending even 5 minutes to watch games

Another concern is the goaltending. Markstrom let in a weak goal, beaten five hole, only 88 seconds into the game last night against the Jets. His play is inconsistent.

I don't think there' anyone in this city or the Canucks organization that views Markstrom as anything more than a stop-gap until Demko is ready.

If you look at his career stats, I would say he is pretty consistent. :fullofwin:

Pretty sure Demko is going to be our #1 in 2019/2020. Nilsson is signed until the end of next season, and Marky is signed until the season after. Nilsson gets let go, while Demko comes up. Demko takes #1 role with Markstrom backing him up in his final season before he either re-signs at a lower backup wage or gets let go as well.
