Northern Light / Aurora Borealis @ Yukon? Other place?
 

Hey guys, i am planning on a trip to see nothern lights and I was hoping that those of you who have been could share some knowledge and experience on what to expect and costing.

Is it better to get a package or should I just book everything separately and hire a guide locally?

A friend of mine told me she spent approximately the cost of an iphone 7+ for 3d/2n.

Edit: Also plan on taking my photography gears over, if you have tips on shooting nothern light feel free to share too!

Went to Yellowknife in Feb 2013. Did 4 days and 3 nights. We only signed up for a tour for 1 night, aurora village, or something like that.


As long as you get away from the city, even just like a 5-10min drive away from the city you should be able to catch it. But then when we went, that was supposed to be the time with the highest northern lights activity.
