Selling a new phone?
 

Are there any restrictions when selling a brand new phone that you got through a contract renewal? From what I can tell the phone can't be unlocked from the carrier for a period of time (in this case Telus for 90 days) but is the IMEI locked to the account at all? Or can the phone be sold right away to anyone with a Telus SIM?

You can have them unlock for like $50 or get a 3rd party for $10. Don't think the IEMI is lock. I have sold phones that's on a contract before and is fine.

Just don't have an asshole (gets warrantly for phone, sell it and claims is stole, claim a new phone through warrnatly). If you do this the person who bought the phone won't be able to us (IEMI will be block).
