Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Any of you guys getting the Galaxy Note 8? $1299 CAD price tag... |
The CPU is already in the middle of its life cycle, unless you can't live without a pen and dual camera, S8+ would be a better choice. |

Apparently Samsung USA is giving a discount up to $425 for customers who bought a note 7 last year, when trading in a device. Might be worth looking into if you had a note 7 last year. Edit: Canada is doing a similar thing, but hasn't been officially announced what kind of discount it is. |
The S8+ 6gb goes around $800cad in Asia, if you don't mind shipping it across the Pacific. Quote:
I am guessing $425 only if you trade in a iPhone 7s Plus 128gb |
nice phone but not very much faster than any other before it,better battery life...done.. and unless you're new to smart phones i don't think i wanna upgrade my S7 to load up apps milliseconds faster with 4 hours extra battery life |
the 2017 phones can last more than 1 day, I doubt people will not charge it up before the battery is depleted. My Samsung Note 2 can still serve what I need, the problem is the battery won't last for 6 hrs. |
Prices of phones nowadays is mind blowing............................ |
If you told me 5 years ago phones would start costing a grand plus I'd slap you... |
^The days when phones were $700-800, that was already expensive enough. Now it's almost double.... |
I don't like how cell phone prices are rising. While PC CPUs are dropping. Booo |
Oh, note 8. |
Jesus, $1300 when the Note 7 was $1050 and the Canadian dollar was worse. S8+ is the way better deal hands down. |
Damn too ballin. Factor in taxes and getting warranty shit will run you like close to $1600. I'm still rocking the Note 5 which at this point in time is still the newest Note and just got a new battery and phone is still working like a champ. |

I see they put a lot of effort into the s-pen but honestly from a casual user I don't see I will use the pen much. Sure it have a lot of features but is not something I will use on a daily basis. Is nice to have but not a deal breaker but that price is a real deal breaker. Maybe is just me but I like smaller phones (Iphone7, Sony mini series, One plusX). Smaller phones I can fit in my pocket and still able to walk confortably I can operate the phone with one hand easily. Honestly speaking a cell phone these days can last a good 4+ years. Unless you are the top 5% who needs the newest to show off, you don't really need to switch your phone every year or even every other year. |
Woot my galaxy note 8 has been delivered already to me. Surprised I received it before the release date! |

Yeah I didn't get any notifications as well. I ordered that first day it was announced. It was nice to have it before release day tomorrow. I assumed it would be shipped out Sept 15. I think shipments are already out for pre orders so just check daily with the mail. |
you can go back into the samsung website and log into your account and see the status. checked mine today and said it was preparing dispatch |
