Razer Phone

didn't look into it much because of the brand
but this looks like the phone to beat

adaptive 120Hz display, 4k mAh battery, 8GB memory, priced fairly

but no headphone jack, no wireless charging, no splashproofing, may not get updates after 1 year

Friend mentioned this phone. Supposed to come out Nov 17th at $699. I was looking at the Umidigi s2 pro, looked intriguing.

If this phone is made anything like the old Nextbit Robin (before Razer bought them out) I would caution against it.

The thumb/side finger print reader is a colossal POS and the screen had a line running down right through the middle of the screen. Some QA issues when it comes to build quality.

Given the general glitchiness and lack of support for most of the Razer products I've dealt with, I wouldn't have much faith in a phone from them.

What's going on with those units? 4 thousand thousandths is just 4 (k = 1000, m = 1/1000).

shrug i didn't make up the commonly used units which is usually quoted in mAh (sometimes in WHr...these abbreviations suck)

specs and price pretty much on par with oneplus5 besides 120hz screen...

Mr.HappySilp 11-04-2017 11:03 AM

Given how bad support and some of the products from Razer I would stay away from it. Heck even 1+ is better in support even though they still suck.

Never buy first gen smartphone from a new company. There are bound to be issue (software or hardware) wait till the bugs are fix/iron out first. Beside with the price tag there are other phones that seems better anyways.

support for oneplus not that bad. Its my first oneplus device and I am getting regular updates every 3-4 weeks cant say for oneplus 3/3t users but I might be in the same boat as them when 5T rolls out.

Looks good but I feel that since it's a small company os updates and support will be slow and limited.
