My dog these people are stupid. On topic, bought lots of things from NCIX Lansdowne in the time I was there including a $1400 laptop for half price last boxing day. The service was non-existent but the transaction was straightforward. Built my first and only gaming rig through NCIX back in 2008. It's still running! Just need to replace the dead HD with an SSD and it'll be perfect for what I use it for. |
They just also closed down the one in coquitlam :okay: |
ME is expanding again.. 2 more locations.. Vancouver and Burnaby.. are these the old NCIX spots? lol |

It's probably going to be a shxt show (in terms of bidding), but man... should I? Daily Hive -- NCIX Bankruptcy Auction -- Thurs, Feb 22 |
Went to Canada Computers in Burnaby, looks like they absorbed most of their front staff. |
anyone on the auction???? looks like a bit of a shit show so far. |
I've had the privilege of looking at the stuff left behind in the warehouse before auction. Pretty sure all the good stuff isn't there. If you look at the bid prices, they're already higher than what you can see on Amazon and or Newegg, and that's before 17% buyers premium. auction http://bid.ableauctions.ca/1-TB-SAMS...-SSD_i29363504 400 + 17% + 12% = approx 520 buy it now https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...82E16820147374 380 +12% = 425.60 |
So many coolers and shit. Shows you where all the money is in PC hardware sales |
I'm watching this auction online and stuff is going at stupid prices Here's a couple examples which aren't computer related, a s7 edge which is not sealed and not brand new http://imgur.com/6YJNfXV and on Craig's is goin for around $500 A used pallet jack http://imgur.com/2rn88xs and on Craig's is not the same brand but does the same thing goin for around 150 bucks and those bid prices don't even have the fee and taxes added to em |
Lol auction mentality, too many noobs not doing enough research and with the I gotta out bid mentality over paying. |
lots of people bidding online. some people scored some good stuff ssds 256 went for 300$ can get a 500gb at memory express at 180ish |
Here is your sucker about have way down[Newegg] GIGABYTE GTX 1070 Ti $689.99 ~OOS - Page 2 - RedFlagDeals.com Forums https://forums.redflagdeals.com/newe...oos-2173284/2/ I was surprised some people where buying huge amounts. One guy bought most of the cryorig Coolers. The pallets went for 6250 around 20 bux cooler plus fees and taxes. Someone did get a good deal on the nzxt, led 140mm fans. Paid about 7 bux EACH. Bought about 140. |

Well... isn't NCIX the gift that just keeps on giving! FailFish https://www.privacyfly.com/articles/ncix_breach/ TL;DL - ex-NCIX servers available for sale - comes complete with tons of accessable data, including personal and private information - ex-employees are totally GG-ed, as ALL their personal info is there - credit card payment details also available in plain text for two hundred and fifty-eight thousand users between various tables |
this is what got me. I found data going back 13 years, financial documents, employment letters containing SIN numbers, and data from Mr. Wu’s home computer which featured personal documents and images of his family mixed in with numerous private photos of high end escorts from mainland china. |
^^ LOL~ that exact same line was the thing I found most interesting from the article too :lawl: |
Dang... Good thing I only used PayPal to pay for my NCIX purchases. |
Wow, this is terrible. Mr. Wu certainly did more harm than the public would have ever imagined. As for the escorts, well, I would be surprised if he DIDN'T persue the services of them. Now, why he put them the company's servers is beyond me. I suppose he wanted to ensure his "entertainment expenses," were accounted for. |
Posted this in the other thread |
Just saw on CBC that there's a class action lawsuit for the breach now. |
