That seems to fall under the issue where Cadillac is last in terms of reliability from the Consumer Reports. The Escalade is such a POS.

Well, there goes the idea.

Colleague just texted me to tell me the car was rear-ended this morning when his wife took the car out with the kids.

Back to the drawing board!

I had driven an Escalade for an extended period of time.

I cannot park that thing into tiny Richmond spots.

Engine sounds nice... options nice.. but weird things break that are hard to identify.

Ie. rear door locks.

The BEST i ever got was about 18L/100kms between city/ hwy

exactly!

The leather on my steering wheel is peeling, the dashboard LCD screen went dead, and there's an oil pan leak on my G8 that can't be fixed without 7.5 book hours in the shop.

It's the little parts seem to break on GMC products, like the glove box hatch, or the trunk lid release. Things that are inconvenient to have broken, but are too expensive and oddball to worry about fixing.

but dat exhaust and torque is unghhhhh.....

These cars took a huge depreciation hit thanks to its high sticker price and low sales

Isn't that just a Chevy Volt with a Cadillac badge slapped on it?

Wow, I had no idea that car even existed. I'm not interested in a plug in car, at all. But after doing some research I see that it's a cool option for the eco conscious who have luxury in mind.

It's as much a Volt as your Infiniti is a rebadged Nissan Z car. On the surface it's a Volt with Cadillac emblems, but once you get down to the details you realize it's quite different. We used to say that your GSR will never be a Type R, just like a Volt will never be an ELR regardless of the parts you put on it.
