Break-in is over-rated... think about it... you drive even 5 minutes at 3,000rpm... your engine has spun around completely 15,000 times already just in that time.
it's like a block heater
sure the motor will be fine, but it's the other stuff
clutch and brakes need a break-in period
I wanted the blue but extremely rare. There’s been one parked near garden city and Westminster since the early 2000’s. The blue is the right place to start to making an RS clone. I chose condition over colour.

Normally the SVT don’t come up often. Ever since the focus ST/RS came out they’ve come into a bit of a resurgence. Finding a clean, low mileage non accident 2 owner car is damn near impossible. I missed one on the island about 4 years ago and regretted not buying it.
No question the SIR is more iconic, and a better car. But the SVT has a few unique parts that is under rated. It was faster than the mustang cobra in acceleration, braking and on track. Had 300mm/280mm 4 wheel disc. 2.0L cosworth tuned twin cam with VVT. 6 speed manual too. It even has a variable intake manifold. When the VVT changes cam profiles, the manifold switches to a second set of intake runners for high rpm.
Cool shit. Probably all gonna break and most parts are NLA

I always loved the SVT Focus... I used to try and keep my eyes open for a Competition Orange one with the Euro package... unicorn lol... I think it's the second rarest combination after the yellow one. I've got an extra set of the SVT rims in my parents garage right now, had them on my SVT Contour that I sold.
I live near Garden City and Westminster... I know the blue one you speak of, walk by it a lot if I walk to Lansdowne or something... it's not looking so healthy sitting outside all these years.
Very nice purchase man! The mileage is super low for those cars. Most of them are pretty beat.

I used to see a Contour SVT in the Lansdowne Mall parking lot. Was that yours?
On a side note, Ford had ghastly centre stack designs in the late 90s / early 00s lol
Probably? I'm often there fine dining at Taco Lui's on weekends hahaha... my SVT was black... I only had it for about a year though, sold it in late June of this year
Lansdowne Mall doesn't have much but their food court is capital goodness. Used to walk over there from the Canada line drunk, grab something, then stumble across Lansdowne to get to my building.

Malls are only open during the day..... how drunk were you at 4pm?
