There is a city full of locations, I'm not sure why everyone chooses that one

because it's at the top of a great afternoon drive, especially on a sunny day.

and I'm sticking to the shore these days for obvious reasons.

15 minute drive, lots of turns, beautiful scenery, no traffic.

I'm sure the drive excites some, and the views are great, but this is a photo thread, and that location is pretty meh. There is a ton of spots up there, plenty of backgrounds/angles/light. It just feel a little cookie cutter to always use the same spot. It worked for one person, when there was a bunch of water falling down, and then everyone just started copying

I'm probably pretty biased with photography, but I also know that people could be getting better shots with just a little more effort. 10 seconds of looking around planning it out

The Cypress waterfall is probably not the best example to use as it has a bit of history here and people seek it out not because it offers the best background, but more to be a bit tongue-in-cheek and say that they have pitched their flag at the famous waterfall spot.

I’d hardly call this thread what we’d expect to be the pinnacle of photography. It’s for people’s cars whether you get a pro like matsuda, a hobbyist like me, or a dude with his camera phone in his driveway. I’d like to think all is welcome here.
No need to give anyone a box one camera inspection.

Making some changes for if I ever have to drive into Vancouver. [emoji1748]$[emoji3603]

Oh and after all the adjustments:

I might move the back up a bit more. I can fit a finger in each wheel well though!

Put winters on the R today. Really liking the look of the 18s versus the 20s. Don't think I will put the stock wheels back on again, ever...
