I don’t like it, but maybe I’m more old school. I don’t even use cruise control. Friend and I tried it on an ‘18 Crosstrek and it’s just way too intrusive if you like to be in control
I will never buy/option a vehicle with that bullshit radar cruise control/ lane departure crap that takes away your attention to actual vehicle operation. We are becoming way too fat and lazy as a society as it is.

I was experimenting with our CRV cruise control the other day for the first time. I thought it was pretty neat until we crossed over some construction where barriers were set up on our lanes and we had to cross painted lines at highway speeds and the car decided to slam on the brakes. Lol that was interesting.
If you don't like feature, I'm 99.9% sure there is a way you can turn it off.
But one day, you'll thank your lucky stars that lane departure prevention, early braking 'bullshit' will save you from a Cee Lai rear ending you in Richmond or a granny side swiping you from the next lane.
