Is that a serious question?
There’s lots of people.
It’s a close target (to North Korea)
There are military bases there.
You know about pearl harbour right?

North Korea would be stupid to fire anything at anything United States. There is nothing to gain and USA will retaliate with nukes of their own probably

You’d gain infamy in the history of this world. His people are starving and his country is a laughing stock, might as well make a name for yourself

This incident is pretty scary not just for Hawaii, but for the world as well. Imagine the US, with a trigger happy leader, decided to retaliate before they realized it was a false alarm?

Why do people keep saying Trump is "trigger happy"? What evidence has he shown to earn that reputation? They've been saying it since the day he was sworn in.

The left has been calling for his head since before he was elected and nothing has come of it. It is almost like a tired joke or old meme. After the Hawaiian attack story, I decided to flip on CNN and see what was up. They literally talked about it for 10 seconds before going into the tired topic of Trump and the word shithole, which dominated the rest of the broadcast. Often times this thread is updated and I am just like: "so?!" or forced to play devil's advocate because Trump does something that is, at a glance, shitty, but makes sense when looking facts from both sides. I'm tired of reactionary bullshit. Tired of Trump. Tired of everyone wondering/hoping his latest tweet will get him impeached.

If it was Hillary, she probably would have staged her own Pearl harbor by now.

I used to go in and argue with the dumb stuff that was just anti Trump for the sake of being anti Trump. It made me look pro Trump though
As much as I disagree with most Trump supporters and Republicans in general, the anti Trump people are just... well they come across as idiots a lot of the time. Making fun of him for being dumb and ugly and fat... Most of these people identify as "liberal" and accepting people for who they are...
Aside from the dumb twitter comments and "shithole" remarks, he's just another republican who does republican stuff. Just another politician. As bad as he is or isn't, depending on your views, he is still probably 100X better than Hilary who WOULD have us at war with Russia by this time probably |

I just don't get how people can sit there and say he's an idiot. I mean, if you don't agree with his policies, or rhetoric, I can appreciate that just fine so long as your reasoning is completely understood.
But to say that he's stupid? Just look at where you are, and where he is.
A guy with a net worth of 5-10b$, has owned hundreds of successful businesses, absolutely no political qualifications, yet beat everyone running, including the "most qualified" candidate, to become the POTUS, and spent half as much money, btw.
And he's an idiot?

And he's an idiot? | None of these are signs of intelligence. He's just a lucky idiot who's somehow able to con other idiots into thinking he's more than just a hairpiece.
P.s. it helps to be white. If he was coloured nobody would have given him the time of day.

Instigating a nuclear war, that would be pretty unforgivable though. Using some tact to defuse a pretty tense situation would be wise.

But the ability to achieve the goals you set out to do does require intelligence (among other abilities. Especially goals of that magnitude.
Edit: and for the record, I never even said he was intelligent (the measure of intelligence itself is debatable). Just that he clearly is not an idiot

Trump just got super lucky that everything worked out for him because he went up against a trainwreck of a deplorable opponent.
It could have very well been another scenario like Sanders v. Cruze but mass amounts of idiots would rather assume MSM is fair and balanced when it isn't.
The metaphorical question on election day was 'would you rather be in a room with a barking dog or a biting spider?'
EDIT: You know there's people out there thinking Trump somehow caused this because of his weak mental state (according to some tabloid best seller)

Other than WWII, I can't think of any US president that has been so eager to use nuclear weapons. JFK Cuban missile crisis comes to mind.
This Hawaii warning couldn't have come at a better time, I think.

That really increased tensions in North Korea apparently.
Just read through the whole wiki page. So it seems that Jimmy Carter, Clinton, were in favour of giving concessions to North Korea for stopping nuclear weapons development. W. Bush didn't agree, and waived those concessions. Obama gave them sanctions. Am I missing something here?
