Official 2018 Formula 1 Thread I think I'll start us off here! Here is the schedule for 2018 F1 car launches. Formula 1 2018 car launch & testing schedule - BBC Sport 15 February Williams Online 20 February Renault Online 20 February Sauber Online 22 February Ferrari Maranello 22 February Mercedes Silverstone 23 February McLaren Online 26 February Toro Rosso Barcelona Force India: TBD Good luck to Torro Rosso Honda! |
Also rooting for Torro Rosso Honda to silence the naysayers. Not expecting them to finish anywhere near the top but some consistency and occasional top 10 finishes would be nice. I think everyone is predicting them to be last since Sauber has updated Ferrari engines. |
Alfa Romeo :sweetjesus: Something would be wrong if it doesn't suffer from a mechanical or electrical failure followed by 30 espressos. |
No more grid girls :( |

Too bad Red Bull won't be keeping that livery. |
Oh that sucks I thought they finally moved on from looking like a can of energy drink The matte finish is pure Kreygasm |
I know, that looks awesome just like their camo testing livery back in 2015. |
I know this might have been discussed in the entertainment forum, but has anyone checked out 'Grand Prix' on Amazon Prime? its 4 episodes on the 2017 testing for McLaren...thought it was pretty solid. as the RB14 I thought was pretty nice...makes the halo not look so bad Also: "Renault and Sauber are launching on Tuesday, world champion Mercedes and rivals Ferrari on Thursday and McLaren on Friday." |
I really do hate the halo. I would be piss off if i am the driver and have this stupid line/pillar in front of me all the time. https://www.revscene.net/forums/memb...5522-alfa.jpeg https://www.revscene.net/forums/memb...-mercedes.jpeg |
It's so weird seeing Alfa on an F1 car. https://www.thisisf1.com/wp-content/...er-F1-Side.jpg More: https://www.thisisf1.com/2018/02/20/...-c37-unveiled/ Renault R.S18: https://www.thisisf1.com/wp-content/...5aWsAEm-wU.jpg https://www.thisisf1.com/2018/02/20/...-s18-unveiled/ |

"Leaked" Toro Rosso pic! https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cp...27937_toro.jpg Apparently TR Honda had a good first day: Toro Rosso: Pierre Gasly has 'great first day' with Honda - BBC Sport |
First day of testing complete. Alonso loses a wheel bearing on lap 6 lol Add to the drama, Torro Rosso ran middle pack time on soft tires and did almost 100 laps with no problems, albeit they may have been detuned for reliability Nothing else exciting, Mercedes most likely sandbagging again |

will be heading to Montreal for my third canadianGP this year. cant wait! |
https://www.formula1.com/content/fom...9673642229.jpg 1) Nice to see Red Bull is showing some earlier test pace. 2) Although it didn't say... Mercedes is using a harder compound than Ferrari... is this a precursor so another year of Mercedes > Ferrari? 3) Honda engine seemed to be more reliable after how many tries?? Lost count... 4) Come on Alonso... wait... the wheel flew off... Come on McLaren, at least tighten the nuts!! |
