That's pretty badass, something to compete with the Tacomas finally. Wishful words that fall on deaf ears; wish it had a manual.

MarkyMark 02-09-2018 10:08 AM

This will be like 60k if it comes here lol

you forgot dealer markup

75K cause omg new hotness.

TjAlmeida 02-09-2018 10:27 AM

Looks awesome, fingers crossed they offer the diesel in NA as well. The icing on the cake would be a manual option but that will never happen. I don't think it will sell well at 60k +. I would think they would need to stick close to the zr2 and Trd pro to stay competitive but maybe not.

MarkyMark 02-09-2018 10:32 AM

Who knows, the Chevy is close to a Raptor performance wise with the suspension, the TRD Pro isn't even close.

320icar 02-09-2018 10:40 AM

It should be priced to compete hopefully. Trd-pro around 48k and zr2 with diesel 52k

If not, my fiancé and I are going to be very bummed...

ZN6 02-09-2018 11:37 AM

i don't normally like trucks. but daaaaayum. it's a shame they gotta slap a huge FORD in the front though. Subtle, not so much.

quasi 02-09-2018 01:30 PM

I agree with 320icar, in order to be competitive it should be at the same price point as the ZR2.

MarkyMark 02-09-2018 01:33 PM

There will be so few of them they don't need to be competitive, just trying to get one will probably be a bitch

I doubt it matters too much. F150s are way more expensive than the equivalent Silverado but still sells good. The quality of the F150 blows it out of the water so if the Ranger manages to do the same they could probably get away with selling it for more.

If they put it in the 60's it's at the same price range as the F150 King Ranch and more then a Loaded Lariat. It's a nice truck and it's cool it's a Raptor but both those F 150's are far more truck.

It's for a different kind of buyer. I've seen Tacoma TRD Pros going for high 50s, and those aren't even mid travel suspension setups. No one looking at the Ranger Raptor is thinking about a full size truck, they want a smaller rig that kicks ass off road.

RRxtar 02-09-2018 02:58 PM

super excited to see the ranger raptor. offroading is a huge aftermarket segment and i think manufacturers are understanding that. jeep has managed to keep the wrangler more capable offroad than ever, while still making it very civilized on the street especially the new JL wrangler. the taco is a favorite, and i think this ranger is going to fit in very well. and i think they nailed the styling.

its amazingly smaller than it looks too, fyi. its quite a bit smaller than a taco, closer in size to a nissan frontier.

this is the old international ranger (not raptor) which the new ranger is built from vs the previous gen f150 raptor

Mid size trucks now are pretty much what full size trucks were 15 years ago lol

In all fairness I think that's the best part 😂

A friend of mine who works at an SVT dealer says 95% of the Raptors they service never see off road. I found that kind of funny until I realized every performance car I've had has never seen a track :( :okay:

That’s actually a great thing, for us who don’t own one yet and are always loosely in the market

I took mine on a gravel road once... I don't/didn't have enough money to justify wheeling and potentially wrecking a financed machine. Like 320i said, good news for those who are going to be getting in to them once they become more affordable.

I was determined to get a Taco Trd Pro, when i move back to van, now this comes along and looks awesome. Not sure how it compares to the taco in terms of reliability. But then again, jeep will come out with a diesel for it's wranglers in '19..... Don't necessarily need a truck, but something that's decent on and off road.

GS8 02-10-2018 08:17 AM

I bet most of these will end up in Hyundais anyway

belka 02-11-2018 09:38 AM

Cute little pavement princess that gets horrific gas mileage. Neighbor has a white SVT Raptor Hennessy edition or whatever. Always washing it in the summer and has been in the garage since the first snowflake came down in October. To each his own but what a waste, it’s like buying a R35 and keeping it for nice sunny days.

68style 02-11-2018 09:50 AM

There used to be a super cute/hot (from what I could see... perhaps the truck just made her hotter than she was) asian girl driving a Raptor around that had all the emblems converted to pink and lots of mods on it... always thought that was pretty interesting lol

Mr.Money 02-11-2018 01:29 PM

hope they keep the diesel engine as a option but up the horse power.....but who takes a Raptor for towing for diesel to needed as the extra pulling power? :suspicious:

320icar 02-11-2018 01:33 PM

Diesel tuning is insane, so I don’t reallt give a shit what the numbers from factory are. Diesel would be great for hauling extra loads (trailers with motorcycles, cars etc) as long as they build the rest up. Maybe give an option for trailer brake controller etc
