bellingham costco and 4 x 25L jerry cans FTW i used to have a spreadsheet (got it off here years ago) that would take into account the milage your car gets, distance your driving to the states, current local price, the price is the states and then current dollar conversion to see your savings the big benefit is when you get more jerry cans |
Why don't you just get a second gas tank bolted to your car bro |
it worked! now we think buck eighty is cheap :lol |

im about as cheap as the next chinaman, but god damn i dont think its worth it to save a little bit of money and potentially go up in a huge fucking fireball. Plus the smell of gas in the car is annoying. Please dont take the tunnel if youre carrying gas. Its illegal to transport dangerous goods through that tunnel and if you do get rear ended, itll blow the whole fucking thing to smithereens |
I'm sure everyone is going to listen |

Do people store jerry cans full of gas in their garage? |
they must have to if they get so much that they can't put it into their tank(s). Or some might get just enough to fill up the 2nd car's tank? If you do store in garage, doesn't it stink up the garage? |
Spoiler! |
it's not that different from the tank in your vehicle get reputable ones with a good gasket, no smell/leaks one could legally carry six cans i drive through tunnel all the time with my spare piggybacked..i highly doubt fuel trucks are servicing north shore through lions gate bridge only |
Doesn't smell as long as you tighten the caps with a good rubber seal. Then I usually place them in garbage bags too. After filling I usually let the tube and can sit a bit to evaporate before lightly tightening the can. If you fully tighten it, I find the can creates a vacuum and the sides shrinks a bit so you don't fill as much gas next time. |
Only really stinks up the garage on the super hot days. But I try to vent it before or after work. Sent from my SM-G781W using Tapatalk |
you guys are just buying a few liters for your lawnmowers and outboards right? are you telling me if I drive around that all my neighbours garages are full of gas? when are you putting pumpjacks in your yards? https://image.shutterstock.com/image...1290019348.jpg Quote:

I was just down in Tacoma for business and filled up there. 6.19 per gallon on premium chevron. Ended up costing me 76 dollars usd to fill up the Camry. That’s still a 100 something Canadian after conversion so I think the savings would be roughly 10-20 dollars. Not really worth it I think unless carry a lot of jerry cans and you live close to the border. Even coming from Richmond it’s inconvenient to get to Blaine. |
So what's the price, did the drop happen? It makes sense the more you fill + if you fill premium, that's why people Jerry can. And I usually only go down if I have stuff to pick up, so the savings add up even more once you factor in over night car parts from USA. Just sucks now that online vendors charge you wa tax. |

Hopefully the drop happens in the states too |
can someone explain wtf this drop is about and how some wizard is able to predict. have the refineries swapped to winter blend and high rates were due to their annual maints? |
