AB NDP just legislated the energy starvation to BC....still think they're bluffing...cutting off a major vein will also hurt their workers ?Ready and prepared to turn off the taps?: Notley issues stark warning to B.C. as pipeline fight escalates | Financial Post |
No biggie. People are filling up in the states anyways. |
went to blaine on tuesday night right about 9PM the shell on D street was lined up for every pump lol $1.20 for regular and $1.30 for 92 after exchange, no brainer for everyone. |
wife is filling up at aldergrove right now she says its 1.44 for regular. Going to probably head across the boarder fill the jerry cans up because we are heading to Kelowna for long weekend. |

I wouldn't care so much if I didn't have to see that miserable, wrinkled old harpy, Notley on TV all the time. She makes my manhood shrivel in fear. |
Gas prices in the Lower Mainland are gonna go up as usual just before the May long weekend. FeelsBadMan |
I just came back from Australia and New Zealand. New Zelands 91 Octane was 2.05 cents per litre and Australias was 1.31 per litre..someone please explain how the hell the Aussies have cheaper gas than us??? |
Quote:
Gas taxes are 39.6 cents/litre + 10% GST. Is it really that different than where we were a few months ago (before refinery shutdowns and resulting price increases)? |
i'd rather pay $5/L than to live without the ozone, but thanks |
go up to 2 dollars a litre hooooooooray:ifyouknow::ifyouknow::ifyouknow::ifyo uknow::ifyouknow: |

The Ozone has been slowly recovering this decade and NASA expects it to be almost fully recovered in the next 50 years. The carbon tax goes to fund "green" projects. The NDP hasn't released details on what those projects are, but I'd imagine they're related to GHGs (Carbon sinks, low-emission/no-emission technologies, etc.) Nothing to do with the Ozone. |

Yea it's a pain in the ass to get gas now. Might be better to go super late in the evening now. |

How long does my Gold Status last? New Fuel Rewards members will receive instant Gold Status for the first 6 full calendar months of their membership. For example, if you join on January 1, 2018, you will receive Gold Status through July 31, 2018. The first 3 full months of your membership is your introductory period. You can try out Gold Status, no strings attached. (Ex: January 1 – April 30) The second 3 months is your qualification period (Ex: May 1-July 31). You must fill up 6 times during this 3-month period to maintain your Gold Status for the next 3 months. (Ex: August 1-October 1) How do I maintain my Gold Status? To maintain your Gold Status, you must fill up at least 6 times during your 3-month qualification period (see above). That’s only two times per month. Each fill-up must be at least 5 gallons or more to qualify. What happens if I lose my Gold Status? Members who do not qualify for Gold Status will receive Silver Status. Members with Silver Status save at least 3¢/gal on every fill. Rewards for Silver Status may also be combined with other rewards earned in the Fuel Rewards program. I currently have Silver Status. How do I get back to Gold? As soon as you make 6 fill-ups during your 3-month qualification period, you will instantly regain your Gold Status and will begin saving 5¢/gal on every fill. You will keep your Gold Status for the remainder of your qualification period, as well as the next 3-month period. Check the homepage of our website or download the Fuel Rewards app to determine when your qualification period ends and track your progress towards regaining Gold Status. ^^ Even 3 cents/gal is worth it. If you fill up regularly, it is pretty easy to keep at least a 5 cents/gal discount. On top of that, they have promotions every now and then where it's an automatic 10 cents/gal discount on V-Power gas. |

If I drove more nowadays... and lived closer to the border... I *might* consider this option................ but for $12.00 per tank I'll skip the hours spent going across the border and waking up at 4am on my weekend :ahwow: |
yah but but..we're in the summer months... its light out at around 5ish... and bright.. great to start the day with a nice highway drive... heck..the walmart AND home depot in Bellingham open at 6am!!!! |

If I'm already going, sure I'll bring 4 Jerry's with me. Short of that, fuck it, my time is worth more. |
make sure you download 'mr. border' app for your ios/android phone.. the beauty of it is that it ties into the cams showing you the lineup. The 'wait time' data gets old and not reliable but the camera shows a shot up to within 2 mins so it'll give you a visual idea of the lineups for both to USA and to Canada crossings. https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/mr-b...429104865?mt=8 |
