I just lost my 2015 Toyota Highlander key fob - 4 button with smart key.
I had a conversation with my Toyota dealer a while ago and they quote me quite a bit for replacing it.
Any other alternative way of getting it replaced? I still have one and would like to have my lost one replaced and programmed. No physical key needed though.
the key insert comes from toronto. i do not know of anywhere you can get a smart key itself (keyless entry, square remote) aside from the dealership.
programming is 0.5hrs, if all master keys are missing, you will require a full re-seeding of the keys, which costs more time.
price is around $500 ish off the top of my head,
you may be able to go online and check for ebay specials on other style keys, make sure the fequency code aka FC matches. it should either be eitched on the back of the key or painted.
and no there is no real discount on keys. price is pretty set from head office.
