Best data plan for visitors?

I have family coming in from out of town for two weeks and they'll need data. I only know of Roam but $45USD for 500MB seems pricey. Are there better alternatives?

If Fido still has it, you can get their 3GB for $15 tablet plan and put it into their phones. Get an app for local voice and texts. Then cance it when they leave.

I dont mind having this plan for 2 weeks. Not sure how good coverages are around the city. All you have to do is pay once. you need your own phone but no need for a contract.

are you gonna be touring them around? if you have like 5gb I would just offer hotspot

jinxcrusader 04-20-2018 05:48 PM

@ilovebacon how is anything with 3g still considered good?

DragonChi 04-20-2018 05:52 PM

I recently changed to a 3g plan, all I use my phone for is maps and web browsing, and it's fine.

But 50 dollars for two weeks is not worth.

I would get a prepaid phone and carry around a tablet for data on the Fido plan.

I've also had success getting a 30 dollar plan in store with data. It was the superstore on no.3 road, and around this time when I had to get a phone visitors.
