Where’s that Lexus LC F that’s suppose to come out. The LC isn’t doing very well either as you hardly see them on the road. I’d take that over the 8 series.

After driving the M850i I felt relatively unimpressed. I guess for $144k I hoped for a bit more? Like previously said the S-class interior is far better but it's also priced a lot higher. The 8-Class fits in between the E and the S as the S is a bit bigger.

That said, the 8 is quick and agile. Rear wheel steering helps a lot reducing the wheelbase and makes the car feel smaller although you feel the weight going through turns. Power is strong and pulls well throughout the entire rev-range.

The 8 series looks like a refreshed 4 series imo. The concept 8 series gc they showed a few years back was stunning but of course in BMW fashion they toned it down to the point where it looks like every other BMW model.

I'd take a GS F over a M5, and I'm #BMWFANBOY. Too bad Lexus seems to have stopped production of F models across their line.

Saw it at luxury supercar weekend. Msrp of $185,000 and looking like a mustang in person is absolutely insane. Why would you not get a beautiful new Aston for $15k more

Astons can be had with a discount too. So the actual spread is substantial less. Shit I paid almost 180k for my mazzy back in 08 and I remember cross shopping the vantage which was actually cheaper.

calling it an "8 series" when the engineering is clearly a 6 series. Thank marketing for that one.

also being BMW logic, they can get away with charging more on MSRP since its a bigger number.

its a nice car, but not quite as forward thinking / ahead of its time like the original 8.

i'd dig that new M8 Gran coupe though.... (i'd secretly rebadge it as M6)
