Add to the list.

Just days after coming out of a self-quarantine prompted by being exposed to someone with COVID-19, Sen. Ron Johnson has contracted the virus, his office announced Saturday morning.

According to a brief statement, the Wisconsin Republican tested positive on Friday, the same day as announcements came that President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, several members of the White House staff, and multiple other prominent Republican Senators were all infected

Manic! 10-03-2020 10:06 AM

fatty arbuckle tests positive.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has tested positive for the coronavirus.
"I will be receiving medical attention today and will keep the necessary folks apprised of my condition," Christie wrote in a tweet on Saturday.
Christie helped President Trump prepare for last week's presidential debate and was at the White House ceremony last weekend.

mikemhg 10-03-2020 10:25 AM

WTF is going on here? All these Republicans contracting COVID right before the election, it's absolutely bizarre.

sonick 10-03-2020 10:32 AM

Republicans had a nomination ceremony for the new supreme Court justice where it is turning out to be a super spreader event.

The purge 2020

Now they're saying that he actually had supplemental oxygen in the white house prior to going on the helicopter, and also some photos showing he was potentially wearing an oxygen concentrator while walking to the helicopter.

You can actually.

There's clip of his reaction when he heard Romney caught it.

"Geez, that's too bad."

westopher 10-03-2020 12:44 PM

It’s a shame he isn’t left to deal with the shitty healthcare that a couple hundred million Americans are left to deal with when they are sick.
I’d say the treatment should bankrupt him, but seems like that’s not entirely necessary at this point.

68style 10-03-2020 12:57 PM

Yah millions of other Americans: “stay home and lose your job and fucken die”

Trump: I’ll go fly to a fundraiser and if anything goes *really* wrong (for me, fuck all the other people) the best doctors in the world will be assembled at my command with experimental drugs

Economic disparity / narcissism whaaaaaat

Hondaracer 10-03-2020 01:47 PM

Well even if he wasn’t president he could still afford the best healthcare available so it’s kind of a moot point.

I’m sure every politician in Washington could do the same out of pocket

westopher 10-03-2020 02:01 PM

But none of them have to.
The point most certainly isn’t moot. If you want to talk about “shithole countries” I’d say the ones where middle class citizens are bankrupted by medical bills fit the category nicely.

Yup, hardly anyone wore masks, and they didn't do any sort of social distancing

There's a picture floating around with a huge group photo, and circles around allt he positives... It looks like by next week almost everyone will have gotten it.

It's a "super spreader" event. Bad luck, but could have been prevented by.... doing what everyone has been doing for months to prevent it. Even none of the protests have turned into this, because most of the protestors wore masks and didn't hug and shake hands with people outside their family.

They literally believed their own bullshit that this wasn't serious, and are paying for it now, right before the election.

Like I said, you couldn't write fiction better than this.

At least the military had masks on. The ones in uniform, anyway.

I wouldn't necessarily say they're paying for it. Covid isn't a death sentence. They could all have mild to no symptoms. Just testing positive doesn't say much.

I mean "paying for it" as in "dealing with an outbreak at the peak of their election campaign"

It could get worse, who knows. Trump is a low-income obese man in his 70's, so his chances aren't great. But either way it's really bad, and was somewhat preventable.

He is in a hospital taking experimental drugs and not on the campaign trail and will probably miss one debate and maybe not have a vote for SCOTUS because too many senators are in quarantine. They are paying for it big time.
