Was just watching this trump nbc thing and he's claiming 11.4m jobs, 52% recovery of covid losses, I googled it and its a stat being reported on the Whitehouse website
Biden seemed to be lobbed softballs all night while Trump had to answer for white supremacy back to back with democrat pedo conspiracies?! The audience was doing a better job asking serious questions than the media.

Bunker Boy did not attack Biden until at least halfway through the Town Hall.
He kept talking about Hillary, Obama, and Pelosi even though those three people are not on the election ballots. Trump was talking against perceived enemies instead of Sleepy Joe.
Props to the moderator Savannah Guthrie for asking him tough questions:
His response as President to Covid questions? Herd immunity theory.
Question about the New York state attorney general investigation into his tax returns. Trump's answer:
Trump confirmed he owes $421 million but wouldn't say to whom. Then he went ahead and claimed that the debt is just "a tiny percentage" of his net worth. At best, that leaves a nefarious impression. He also seemed to confirm the two years of just paying $750 in taxes by likening it to some sort of filing fee. (source: CNN).
The bottom line is that Cheeto wasted another opportunity to gain more votes for himself with a weaksauce performance during the town hall.
As per CNN, Cheeto gives the impression from this Town Hall that he is a tax dodger, anti-masker, super spreader of Covid, and opponent of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)

Herd immunity was the reporters suggestion, Trump just dodged it by saying all deaths are bad, but if he didn't do what he did millions would be dead instead of 200k
He also said if you want to wear a mask go ahead, but there are reports discounting masks too, I don't see why he can't just say "you know what, with the latest info given to me, I'm going to have to change my stance, and call for the use of masks"
He's like some stubborn forum poster who can't just admit maybe they're wrong

You are saying as if 52% recovery is something to brag about? Canada saw 55% recovery from August numbers, and is up to 58% from the latest September report, big whoop.

The fact he's creating jobs n not destroying them, and the fact the US is able to recover 52% jobs considering the cluster fuck that is their covid situation... Yeah that is pretty impressive

And who created the cluster fuck situation in the first place? It's like bragging about fucking something up less than you could have, only because you fucked something else up way more.

Yeah... And I find that impressive that he still created so many jobs even though he's fucking up covid /shrug
you can't not find that impressive, yet they're still trying to attack him on jobs if I were American I'd be praising God that he hasn't destroyed the country lmao
To be fair, Trump's track record before covid showed that he did a good job to sustain the upward trend of employment and the stock market from the Obama era. That is, he did a good job of not fucking something up that was already doing well if we're only looking at what he did 'right' and not think about the 'wrongs' he gave up in order to sustain that growth.
So I don't attribute job losses to him, but I also do not applaud him for the rate of recovery either because of that.

Biden seemed to be lobbed softballs all night while Trump had to answer for white supremacy back to back with democrat pedo conspiracies?! The audience was doing a better job asking serious questions than the media.
Did you even watch it? Doesn't seem like it.
He wa asked many times to clarify the controversy surround him adding members to the Supreme Court... he was pressed repeatedly for his work on the crime bills from the 80's and 90's which are super controversial in today's plight... he got pushed for his position on fracking and the Green Deals... he even got put on the spot to explain his comment of "you ain't Black" toward black people who don't support him.
If those are your ideas of softballs... well... yah I guess he hasn't done or said anywhere near as much stupid shit as Trump to get questioned on? I mean.. if he wasn't a white supremacist supporter, he wouldn't get questioned on it right? Kind of a stupid line of thinking to blame the media for asking about stuff he created lol... you reap what you sew.
Very similar debate I had with a Trump supporting friend of mine. He proclaimed, the line "well Trump has lowered black unemployment more than any president". Yet again, another misnomer such as the above argument.
When Obama was elected in 2008, black unemployment sat at 16.5%, at the end of his presidency, black unemployment was at 7%, essentially a 10% drop.
Up until COVID, Trump brought that percentage down from 7% to 5.5%, a drop of 1.5%.
So technically yes, he presided over the "lowest point of black unemployment in history", but his contribution to that is literally negligible, as it was a trend moving in that direction for the last decade.
I akin the argument to purchasing a home, moving into it, and proclaiming you built the house.
We all know this is a charade. Is it even legal to give someone else's laptop and data to a completely unconnected party?
I still don't quite understand the legality of some random repair shop giving the contents of a hard drive to Rudy G? I don't believe the story in the first place, but how is that even legal?

You know, I've been giving a lot of thought to this in terms of this whole concept of "fake news". Google and Facebook are somewhat in a tricky position here that I wouldn't envy, and I don't think there's a clear answer. It's somewhat of a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.
-Allow Trump and the Republicans to release these fabricated stories, and not censor > This allows the lie to propagate online.
-Censor the fabricated story and lie > Provides more credence to story's validity to the bootlicking supporters via making them think the media is trying to "cover it up", conspiracy, etc.
And who created the cluster fuck situation in the first place? It's like bragging about fucking something up less than you could have, only because you fucked something else up way more.
As I recall, while our government was dead set on not "stigmatizing the virus" the US had shut down incoming flights from China, and then Europe. Our government placed no such restrictions on incoming flights.
What measures did our federal government take that the US didn't and should have?

I think the issue here is the clear double standard.
They had no problem allowing the New York Times to display a story based on possibly illegally obtained tax returns just a couple weeks ago, as just one example.
