You guys are so serious... Trump is a troll... even his fat joke was a giant troll... all you can do is sit back and laugh.
Even his presser today! "I may be wrong, I mean I may stand before you in six months and say 'Hey I was wrong'" in regard to whether he can trust Kim Jong Un... and then he says "I don't know that I'll ever admit that, but I'll find some kind of an excuse"......... wow! Openly admitting to sloughing off being wrong... President of the USA!! Amazing.
It's comedy gold... how can you guys be so serious? NK was never going to nuke anyone... just enjoy this stageshow at this point
sure it's all just a joke to you
let me know how you feel if you saw nukes flying by when you're on a passenger jet (that's what went down in Japan)...oh it's just a test he's not gonna use it on a targets
the US is our major defense ally and trading partner...most of what gets decided from Washington will affect you one way or another
it might be comical but it's not fictional...wake up
Is the US Economy in a better state now than before Trump was POTUS?
Berz out.
It really depends on your definition of US economy. Are you talking about the US Stock market indices or are you talking about the average Joe Blow who makes 50k/year or less.
If your talking about stock market, then yes, it’s booming because of de-regulations that are being applied - allowing large corporations to take massive tax breaks and buy back a tonne of stocks —> sending their stock valuations through the roof, while their employees make the same income, and the company makes similar profits.
The average Joe probably see’s none of that as wages remain somewhat stagnant, and many people are getting knocked off their health care plans etc.
I’m not complaining, my stock market portfolio is at an all time high. I just have sympathy for the people who follow right wing ideologies and vote against their own interests and make people like me wealthier.

NK was never going to nuke anyone. It’s pretty obvious... what does Kim Jong Un love more than power? Nothing. What would he be reduced to if he nuked anybody? Ashes... can’t be powerful and dead at the same time. It’s all political posturing.
that's because you're thinking rationally, as a sane and likely moral person
when you got Cheetos egging on a man who wouldn't bat an eye at ordering a hit on his family, taunting about how big and functional his launch button is, all bets are off
edit: what if the nuclear launch detected from Hawaii false alarm few months ago triggered the US to immediately retaliate?

forget avenger infinity war 2
can't wait for this movie
Starting Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un
WTF.....
I think it's brilliant, personally.
You have to remember who this trailer was meant to appeal to.
I'd bet money chairman Kim was clapping, hopping up and down in his chair after watching.

Why do you even live in this country, man? Are you even Canadian? I have no idea where you're from, but now I'm actually curious.
If you are in fact Canadian, any of this should appall you. You're so blindly clouded by your bigotry and support for Trump, that you would actually enjoy seeing the Canadian economy take a hit based on Trumps ridiculous decisions on trade? Why even consider yourself a Canadian, you're treasonous.
If Trump's decisions end up costing Canadians in our pockets, or your own pockets for that matter, why do you continue to support him? It's absolutely bizarre to me.
Do you think these retaliatory measures are wise? Or do you think this is something we'll come to regret?

No we should just sit here and take it up the ass.
I guess we'll find out then, won't we

I totally agree. People are thinking like westerners, without realizing that Kim comes from a culture so removed from ours - and pretty much every other culture on the planet - this kind of thing is almost sure to appeal to him. Trump is dealing with a cult of personality, and this is exactly the kind of thing that would probably earn their favour. It's pretty brilliant IMO
I wouldn't be surprised if it was Dennis Rodman's idea

...
Kim grew up westernized. He lived in Switzerland most of his early life until he was an adult.
Regardless of what happened, nothing is going to happen until the next President of the United States is determined. The North Koreans will just delay any official agreement until then.
I highly doubt the North Korean condition of the US stopping military drills with South Korea is ever met.

More skeptical sentiments were held prior to the fall of the Berlin wall...
Geopolitically, I think it's clear everything Trump has been doing follows his simple framework:
America first. No friends. No enemies.
Talks with Putin will likely follow.
IMO, Trump's directive appears to usher in a worldwide paradigm shift from the globalist view to a nationalist one. Or at least that seems to be the attempt.
It's a big change from the geopolitics that have occurred for decades.

I can see why such a view would be appealing. Do I agree with Trump's style? Not completely.
Living in ON in the months leading up to Doug Ford's election, I can see why the populist "us first" viewpoint is very much seductive to the average voter. Especially in an age where wages are relatively stagnant while inflation and the cost of living are, in relation, increasing heavily to the point that the average young person can only dream of living their parents' lifestyles even when making significantly more money... but I digress.
But I can say this much, if a nationalist leader - regardless of party line - pledged to put "Canada First", especially from an immigration point of view as well as in terms of banning/limiting foreign investment (not radical as Aus, NZ, Singapore are all making that shift), that person would get my vote...

And what exactly might a "Canada First" immigration policy look like? You do realize that Canada has a birthrate that is much lower than the replacement rate, right? And without new immigrants, even the crappy system that we have right now would collaspe into absolute ruins.

While that is the popularly expressed excuse, there is no evidence that decreased population has a detrimental effect on gdp per capita.
