We're not having a discussion about what we can do to curb sexual assault though, we're having a conversation about trump n bidens sexual assault allegations, they're different conversations for better or worse, if you want to discuss what we can do to curb that attitude then simply bring it up

Rich
Powerful
Old
White
Men.
There’s not a difference between them other than one was on a shitty tv show for poor, uneducated idiots that watch it so they can fantasize about chasing the “American dream” without realizing that it involves being born rich.
One doesn’t have a better excuse than the other, but one of them is recorded bragging about how they don’t need consent.

That is kind part of the issue thou. We as a society is talking about both president canadiate’s sexual assault allegation yet none of that discussion facilitate a dialogue for real change and responsibility. Rather the discussion is on who’s fault is it (hint it’s never the perp’s fault) or pointing the finger at the other camp.

This the same narrative use by almost all when it comes to talking about our leaders’s allegation.
“‘Men are talking about sexual assault on woman, this is an important issue to discuss because we men need to find out why we do this so we can excuse ourselve of our behavious. Oh woman want to talk about you being abuse. Please start a new conversation, this is not what we are talking about here”

It’s not a different conversation it’s the same conversation. As as a leader of a country, deflecting the behaviour rather than addressing it IS the issue.

Like I said then steer the convo that way, that's what we're doing here after all

But the way I see it is you have to start at a beginning to get to an end, and to get to a proper/just end you have to understand all things such as the whys, and hows, the so what's, and the solutions

5 members of mike pences staff test positive for corona including his chef of staff who he is in regular contact with. He is not quarantining and is still going to rallies. pence is the head of the corona virus task force.

He probably thinks God will protect him. I’m not even joking.

Went to a wedding yesterday. The church was appropriately socially distanced. I was no closer than 12 feet to anyone at any time, with most of the service being conducted with a much further distance.

The reception, however, featured singing and dancing and eating. None of it was masked up. I walked in and noped the fuck out.

Apparently the mindset in the Hispanic community down here is that "God will protect us" and if (they) get it, its "part of his plan".

This is the kind of thing that keeps the virus going. This kind of mindset.

Oh, and I woke up to see friends on Snap singing karaoke in a packed bar that is only allowed to be open because it serves food (thats how they skirt the law) because they also believe "God will protect them"

"A preacher was on a boat when a huge storm hit. Everyone evacuated to the lifeboats, except the preacher, who declared 'God will protect me'. So they left.

Later, a coast guard boat comes up and asks the preacher to get on, but the preacher refuses: 'God will protect me.', so they leave.

A bit after that, an evacuation chopper comes and tries to get the preacher to climb, but he again refuses. 'God will protect me.'

Then the boat capsizes, and the preacher drowns. He goes up to meet God, and the preacher is furious. "God, wtf! I devoted my whole life to you, and I never gave up faith! Why didn't you save me!?"

God: You idiot, I tried to 3 times but you just refused!!"

MG1 10-25-2020 06:44 PM

Please post that in the joke thread................ too funny.

https://www.revscene.net/forums/5651...thread-30.html

inv4zn 10-25-2020 07:07 PM

The 'funny' thing it isn't really a joke lol.

Wear a mask - no God will save me.
Social distance - no God will save me.
Take the vaccine when it comes out - no God will save me.

Dies of Covid. "wtf God!"

lol no i meant that yes, it is a joke, but it's eerily applicable to what's going on these days with religious nuts who refuse to take science or anything 'wordly' into consideration when making decisions.

SkinnyPupp 10-25-2020 11:45 PM

Trump freaks out, walks out of his 60 minutes interview

What a pathetic loser

Anyone who supports this guy is a fuck head. Or an idiot. Or an anarchist who wants the world to burn. There's no "good side" to support.

StylinRed 10-26-2020 05:51 AM

Not sure if the clips broken or just me, seems outta sync

Here's the full interview supposedly (haven't watched it cept for the beginning)

He's not, he's a troll.

Real question, has anyone ever met him in person here?

that's not the same thing at all.. just listen to trumps own words.
he's bragging about getting away with it because he's in a position of power. that's just totally the opposite thing as mutual attraction lol

StylinRed 10-26-2020 03:59 PM

I was trying to build up on that notion as we went on in the convo, but ya totally failed :lol

Oh my, that reporter Lesley Stahl has really past her expiry date, she's a terrible interviewer. Questions so predictable.

Amy Barrett has been confirmed as Supreme Court justice ... what happened to the Dems putting up a fight? That was uneventful. I expected some drama.

She wasn't physically beating him. He ran away like his life was in danger.

inv4zn 10-26-2020 08:59 PM

So, republicans in 2016 said absolutely no to nominating a supreme court justice during an election year.

They said no to Merrick Garland ~250 days before the 2016 election, because it was too close to election.

Now, suddenly, they rushed the entire process, 8 days before the election.

I get that politics is all bullshit and blah blah, but how thick does your face have to be!?

......and then I remember pieces of shit like Ted Cruz who STILL suck Trump's toes. Fucking disgraceful.

320icar 10-26-2020 11:16 PM

Ted Cruz is the human embodiment of a poop swastika

GGnoRE 10-27-2020 05:56 AM

FiveThirtyEight, one of the best statistical forecaster, putting Biden's chances of winning at 87.8% now (350/538 electoral votes). I hope one way or the other, its a decisive win and not a win by a slim margin.

unit 10-27-2020 07:48 AM

i honestly do think trump doesn't have the 'trump' card anymore by being an outsider.
last time even some dems and tons of otherwise sane voters voted for trump because he was a wildcard and they didn't want the status quo anymore. hillary was seen as too much of an establishment candidate and after a nasty and dirty primary against bernie, it left a sour taste in the mouths of many democrats. of course 12.2% is still a legitimate chance, but it's not directly comparable to 2016 in terms of trump having the wildcard hand. if the election is fair and there is no voter suppression then i think trump will surely lose, however voter suppression is alive and well in the US.

Great68 10-27-2020 08:29 AM

I think another thing he had going for him in 2016 was the "Give him a chance" crowd.

Well he had his chance, and I think many of those people won't make the same mistake again.
