Why do you think China is ever hesitant to go for WTO arbitration? Because it has yet fulfilled its own responsibility it promised when allowed to join WTO.

Should it file complain at full scale, other countries would simply follow suit. It's a double-edged blade. It might win some cases, but it doesn't want to lose any.

And China's belt loop is falling apart. Many critical countries along the route are refusing to join/reconsidering its decisions... why? Again, China is simply trying to shift all its production surpluses.

China would lend you money to construct everything... but you can ONLY hire Chinese firms for the work... so once the job is completed, you owe them billions and they took all the money they supposedly "lent" you.

China is under extreme pressure on all these surpluses... it puts pressure on inflation... something the CCP is desperate to keep it under control. That's the original idea of belt loop... it thought.. "hey, US can shift its inflation pressure to other countries through USD... maybe we can find something to do that too!"...

when's the last time Canada sided with US over China?

for as long as I can remember Ottawa's been CCP nut huggers

and don't forget the Trudeau family are sympathizers to Cuba's regime

It's called the "Nobel" prize, not "Noble".
While the comic was apt, it's so easy to proofread and take away any evidence of ignorance. Really, if you don't know the difference between Nobel and noble, I don't care about your political leanings.

You still got thanked though. I know it wasn't your comic, and it was pretty funny :awesom:

Trump: North Korea 'total denuclearization' started; officials see no new moves

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday North Korea was blowing up four of its big test sites and that a process of “total denuclearization ... has already started,” but officials said there was no such evidence since a landmark summit last week.

Asked on Wednesday if North Korea had done anything toward denuclearization since the summit, U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis told reporters: “No, I’m not aware of that ... obviously, it’s the very front end of a process. The detailed negotiations have not begun. I wouldn’t expect that at this point.”

Trump letter to Trudeau expresses ?growing frustration? over Canada?s failure to meet NATO spending commitments | National Post

Quote:

OTTAWA — As Prime Minister Justin Trudeau prepares to attend the upcoming NATO summit in Brussels, U.S. President Donald Trump is calling on Canada to meet the alliance’s defence spending targets.

In the June 19 letter, Trump says there is “growing frustration” in the United States with North Atlantic Treaty Organization allies like Canada that have not increased defence spending as promised.

“This frustration is not confined to our executive branch. The United States Congress has taken note and is concerned as well,” reads the letter, first reported by iPolitics. The Canadian Press has confirmed the authenticity of the letter.

“The United States is increasingly unwilling to ignore this Alliance’s failure to meet shared security challenges,” Trump writes.

Trump fighting with Harley Davidson. His tariff policy got them thinking of moving a factory into Europe to avoid retaliatory tariffs. Then Trump blasts them on twitter and threatens them if they shut down one plant. What the hell do you expect them to do in this situation?

US Supreme Court upholds Trump's travel ban. I guess this is why appointing US SC judges was that important. Decision was 5-4.

Markets starting to sell off over tariff trade war ... trigger THE market correction?

If you look at this list of countries and immediately think 'muslim ban'.. you might want to examine your own prejudices. Would love to know what percentage of the worlds muslims outside of the US reside in these countries

CivicBlues 06-26-2018 08:35 AM

Isn't a North Korean Ban kinda redundant? Is anyone besides Kim and his cronies allowed to even leave the country without his express permission?

Oh yeah, gotta watch out for those Venezuelan Terrorists too!

Why do I have a feeling some Indian or Chinese company is going to buy Harley Davidson.

I only refer to it as the muslim ban because thats how the MSM initially referred to it.

Executive Order 13769, titled Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States, often referred to as the Muslim ban[1] or the travel ban, was an executive order issued by United States President Donald Trump....

... On June 26, 2018, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the executive order and its accompanying travel ban in a 5-4 decision, with the majority opinion being written by Chief Justice John Roberts.

Trump lifts ban from North Korea because that's his new best friend.

Meanwhile he alienates Canada, longest standing ally. How long before he adds Canada to the list of banned countries because we are a "national threat" (that's the clause the US used to add tariffs to our steel and aluminum).

We are not in a trade war with them. Sooner or later it's going to get ugly when people start losing their jobs.

A steel pipe manufacturer in northern Ontario announced Friday that it’s laying off approximately 40 workers as a result of U.S. tariffs.

Tenaris Algoma Tubes says the job cuts in Sault Ste. Marie are in response to the United States’ 25 per cent tariff on Canadian-made steel, which came into effect on June 1.

The company said in a statement that the tariffs have “created an unsustainable market to serve our U.S. customers.”
