I think the Scientific consensus is only coming out just now that you can't transmit if vaccinated. So it'll take some time before the rules around quarantine are adjusted for those who got the shot. I know his kids have to though.

Quarantine what? Can't miss the opportunity for a photo-op baby
The reason people keep voting these asshats in is because there is no real choice. These Republican voters would rather cut their dicks off then vote for a Democrat, full stop.
We don't tend to have that mentality here in Canada, I've voted NDP, Liberal, and Green all in the past (while leaning to NDP Provincially, and Liberal Federally). I notice people doing the same, moving from party to party based on the person running.
Americans don't tend to do that. This allows the Republican party to essentially walk out a literal turd, and still have that person elected, year after year. Democrats are guilty of this as well, although to a lesser degree (more accountability).

This is the inherent fault of a two party system. Basically if you're not one, you have to be the other - there are no in-between choices. This is why you see such extremism because if you're in the middle, you're not getting the backing of anyone.

To be fair though in US govt you have right of centre or further right of centre, so you probably aren't stuck in between. Dems like to talk about left wing policies, but really don't enact much that could be considered progressive to actual left leaning countries.

Axios has learned Cruz (R-Texas) invited David Panton, his longtime friend and former roommate at Princeton and Harvard Law, to join the family getaway.

sauce? i haven't seen or heard anything about that being true thus far. would be great news.

In theory, if voters are sensible -- ie. willing to vote for the other party as necessary -- then a 2 party system should cause the political parties to basically shift towards being a centralist party with only slight leanings to the left or the right.
At the end of the day, I'd say the government people get is a direct indication of the quality of the voters themselves. If there is a smart and sensible population of voters, you get a smart and sensible government in return. If the voters are a bunch of idiots, you get a messed up government just like its people.
He and JD13 are about to learn that white people can be terrorists too
Susan Rosenburg is caucasian you IDIOT.
So was Timothy McVeigh, so is Brenton Tarrant, so are/were many other domestic terrorists around the world. The ethnicity of anyone taking part at the Capitol or in riots during the summer was never relevant nor being discussed. The point of that discussion was that not everyone who was at the Capitol or marching against racism while others burned down buildings is deserving of the label of terrorist, and that YOU blasting random people online with no evidence other than a photo of their presence helps nothing. Unfortunately you replied:

But apparently that only applies to those with a view opposing yours, and editorials and stand-up comics can repeatedly call for the death of the sitting President you don't like. That's OK to you, you'll have a laugh about it. Red/Blue/Black/Yellow/White/Green.... what's morally right doesn't have a colour. Not only are you a huge hypocrite and a partisan hack but you race-bait instead of admitting you're wrong when called out. And you try to subtly call ME racist?! As the admin representing this community as a whole your posting conduct is disgusting and disgraceful. The laughable irony of all your posts in this thread acting like you're some kind of moral compass for American democracy is that you live in a country that actually had its democracy overthrown right in front of you.

You're killing it on these false equivalencies huh? There is a lot of nuance to Susan Rosenburg and the Weather Underground.
To compare her to a white supremacist like Timothy McVeigh is pretty ignorant.
You're comparing a group that when in the 70's and 80's were actively fighting a very real subrogation of human/civil rights, by that of an extremely racist government.
White nationalists are fighting to continue a status quo, they are the individuals in power, and America has had a LONG history of white terrorism by rightwing groups and individuals.
But of course people like yourself love to grab the one character on the "left" to use as a false equivalency to say, "well hey, they got a few too, so same same".
No wonder the Canadian military has such a problem with white nationalists within its ranks right now.
One has to wonder with you, which came first, the chicken or the egg? Did you harbor these types of views before joining, or adopt them thereafter?
To compare her to a white supremacist like Timothy McVeigh is pretty ignorant.
Mike, you've completely missed the point and tried to rail it somewhere that fits your prejudices. The only comparison of Rosenburg to McVeigh is that they're Caucasian and has nothing to do with their 'causes' (the two I listed just came to mind first). Skinny seemed to think I thought only other ethnicities could be terrorists when he didn't even look up who Rosenberg is before making such a stupid comment to try and deflect the conversation. The discussion back on those pages wasn't about left or right or white or black or how many on either side. It was about right and wrong. Period. And when Skinny got caught in his own words rather than own it or admit he's wrong, he race-baited. THAT should upset you, everyone on this forum should see that and know how their admin behaves. Then he posts "TLDR" like he's trying to bury his head in the sand, and deletes it, when everyone knows he read every word and couldn't come up with a response to his own words cornering him in hypocrisy (again).
You sure like to bash the military for someone who's never served and never will. You don't know a damn thing about it. I proudly served beside people of all ethnicities, religions, and sexuality and I would again. I have lifelong friends of all the above as a result. Give up the gaslight it's REALLY old and greatly diminishes the intelligence in some of your posts. You're obviously a smart guy but your own prejudices in people and organizations reek off your posts like a bad body odor.

You know what, I'll concede to the fact that I have no part in jumping into your disagreement with Skinny.
As well, I don't know you personally, and it's unfair of me to treat you as a racist, or paint you with that brush so broadly, simply based on anecdotal observations on a forum of all places.
I wanted to come in and say that to you, as I was thinking about it while skiing yesterday (go figure).
Can someone explain to me why all these racist white nationalist groups always have to go "Nordic" with their shit? Sons of Odin, and so forth, it's always some Nordic cosplay bullshit.
Do they not know white people came from other places outside of Nordic roots, and that Nordic culture was very much multicultural historically?
This fetishism of Nordic culture is so fucking bizarre to me.
Only way republicans can win is by making it hard for the average person to vote.
Imagine getting arrested for giving someone a bottle of water.
Imagine supporting a political party that goes out of their way to ensure a sizable population can't vote, or make it harder to do so.
Absolutely fucking insane.
You can be NDP, Liberal, Green, Conservative, everyone should have an easy process to vote, there should never be any esoteric barriers to do so.
It blows my mind that just the simple ability of being able to vote is still a contested issue in the US. This goes back to the requirement of a literacy test to vote:
This just shows you what we've been saying, entrenched ideologies are extremely difficult to purge from the lexicon. It's amazing these types of battles are still being fought, if the Republicans had a choice, they'd go back to the landowner requirement to vote.
Juxtaposed to Canada, it's so fascinating we don't have these issues, we've made it as easy as possible to vote here.
Our issue here is that people simply don't bother voting, we have some of the worst voting stats in any modern democracy
At least no one here is actively stopping you from doing so.
"Indeed, Plaintiffs themselves characterize the statements at issue as 'wild accusations' and 'outlandish claims.' They are repeatedly labelled 'inherently improbable' and even 'impossible.' Such characterizations of the allegedly defamatory statements further support Defendants' position that reasonable people would not accept such statements as fact but view them only as claims that await testing by the courts through the adversary process."
Basically Sidney's defense is saying no reasonable person should've believed her, so it's ok to make shit up about the election being stolen
