I think Republicans allowing abortion bans and going after gay rights (and other rights to come) and turning America into a Christian Taliban is sending more blue voters to polls.

There really are moderate republicans out there that aren’t complete pieces of shit, that are either left to flip to dems or abstain from voting because they don’t actually hate immigrants, gays and women. They just want to keep more of their money, and finally the line has been crossed for them that it’s no longer morally worth the money.

It's interesting to me that the Republicans went so far nutjob right that they actually pushed the Democrats more to the left (along with Bernie's campaigning surely).

Now they want to go back more centre, with the fringe whackjobs probably splitting off to make a Q based third party (which actually will probably get more votes than the Republicans in some places lol). That might have the effect of no longer pressuring the Dems to be as left as they are (which is barely enough to fix the country unfortunately, but better than before)
