Trump is too rich and powerful to be arrested. Rich people dont go to jail

westopher 03-31-2023 12:25 PM

Harvey Weinstein says otherwise, but you are definitely right that nothings gonna happen to trump.
I'm not sure why people are worried this is going to embolden his followers though. Any of the retards that love him are already at full capacity with crazy, and those that somewhat like him won't like him more for this. The people that think trump is a victim of the "woke left" have felt that since 2015.

unit 03-31-2023 01:53 PM

i feel like trumps political career is done. his base is split now, and if they go to primaries with desantis and trump then trump will further disrespect desantis' base and it will harm him come election night if he does win the primaries.

whitev70r 04-03-2023 06:07 PM

So ... what's going to happen tomorrow? Riots in NY or a lot about nothing.

westopher 04-03-2023 06:15 PM

I don't think much. New Yorkers are too busy to riot over trump.

Manic! 04-03-2023 07:11 PM

I felt sorry for anyone who will have to serve on the jury. The amount of hate they are going through get from trump supporters is going through be nuts.

GLOW 04-03-2023 07:41 PM

last time he was trying to rally people around him when he thought he was getting arrested a few weeks back i think only a handful of protesters showed up carrying signs

pastarocket 04-04-2023 09:38 AM

CNN made a flow chart of the arraignment process that Cheeto will go through:

The Democrats always do this the most stupid way possible.

I absolutely hate that this case is the one that's getting litigated first, I really think this will only embolden Republican voters to think this is some silly witch hunt. I mean seriously, prosecuting over hush money to a porn star? :lol

His Georgia case is WAY more salient, literally pushing a governor for fake votes.

Of the list of current suits against him, this Stormy Daniels one is the weakest and most stupid of the bunch:

https://www.justsecurity.org/75032/l...-donald-trump/

I swear to god it seems like they do this on purpose to weaken their arguments against his obvious corruption, they did the same bullshit with the Russia collusion allegations (when there we far stronger examples of corruption).

I love how there isn't a peep either about his rampant abuse of the emoluments clause. Using his hotels and properties to hold government functions, charging absorbent amounts of money to attend these events as president within his properties.

They don't want to go after him on that crap because so many of these assholes in Congress are doing the same thing, abusing their power as a means to enrich themselves.

Great68 04-04-2023 11:10 AM

Wow 34 charges total. Kind of a little bit more to it that just a "hush money" payment.

Manic! 04-04-2023 04:50 PM

trump in court.

If all charges stick he could get a maximum of 134 years.

If she had spent as much time on her husband as she does on donald trump maybe she still would have been married.

Imagine being married to someone and all they do is obsess about their boss 24/7.

Spoiler!

at the protest.

donk. 04-04-2023 10:26 PM

Anyone else gonna be clapping and honking their horn in traffic from excitement the moment he is put behind bars?

MG1 04-05-2023 08:54 AM

"I never thought anything like this could happen in America." Got that right, buddy. Nobody a decade ago thought such a worm like Trump would become the Commander and Chief of the United States of America and bring that prestigious position down to such a low level.

Just let him continue to bury himself.............. best strategy ever. He can't help himself. Stupid is a powerful drug.

murd0c 04-05-2023 09:09 AM

Trump won't spend a night in jail, what ever happens with this he will get a pardon and the out come will be he won't be able to run for president again which in reality is the only thing they want.

whitev70r 04-05-2023 09:14 AM

^ if somehow he cannot run again for the POTUS ... that would be a gift to humanity

68style 04-05-2023 10:07 AM

Look at the timeline for this shit... he isn't even back in court until December this year? That's 8 months from now!

There's no way this gets settled before the 2024 presidency. He will be able to run unimpeded.

That said, I don't think he's anywhere near as popular as he thinks he is anymore.

GLOW 04-05-2023 11:46 AM

i just need to see the results of the dominion voting lawsuit results to happen so i can finally do this in real life

If he does go to jail, does the Secret Service still protect him 24/7?

If Trump does somehow end up getting jail time, my guess is that the Trump team and DoJ will some negotiate to get some sort of house arrest arrangement in place. And then Trump just just stay in Mar-a-Lago as if nothing has changed.

But realistically, I think the legal case will likely just drag on for quite some time. And then depending on how the election goes -- make no mistake, Trump is still gonna be able to run for it -- he will either get immunity or he won't.

MG1 04-05-2023 03:53 PM

Prisons don't supply diapers, do they?

Manic! 04-05-2023 04:28 PM

Drinking them tears.

Also, I might have to start drinking bud light. :Puke:

I don't know if anyone has seen this guy on youtube, but his analyses are strictly from a legal perspective and without bias. He did a good synopsis on the trump Indictment:

Cole's notes: It's a pretty slam dunk case for misdemeanour charges of falsifying records, going to be a bit more difficult to prove it as a felony. Trump's biggest mistake was trying to back out of paying Daniels after the election (saying it was no longer necessary) which points to this as trying to influence the election, which makes this a link as a campaign finance.
Trump's legal team will try their hardest to avoid it going trial on a number of technicalities, once it's in trial it will be hard to dispute the facts.

Thanks for the TLDW. I will never ever click play on a youtube video with a thumbnail image like that.
