Perma bulk mode McDonald's diet combined with spending 3 hours a day at the gym talking instead of working

Badhobz 10-15-2023 04:56 AM

Ohhhh I should go to a gym again. I haven’t been in like 15 years.

You'd be surprised how many guys I see in the gym that are there the same amount of days per week as I am, in there longer, and are just farting around making little to no progress.

I'm sure it's a mix of genetics, but also shitty routines, and inefficient training styles.

You also get a lot of older heads who treat the gym more like their daily powwow and spend more time working the mouth muscles, than anything else.

Badhobz 10-15-2023 12:32 PM

I don’t know why people just don’t work out with ear buds on. I never liked talking to people at the guy-um, makes no sense. Guy-um not for talking it’s for doing.

EvoFire 10-15-2023 12:47 PM

I tried working out with friends or my wife. It's much more efficient to just put some headphones on and do my own thing.

I bulked up big time in 3 months when I was laid off a few years back because I would drop off wife at the skytrain for work, then hit the gym. I got too big for my wedding suit and had to lay it off.

That's insane LOL~ You should have kept working out and get a new suit instead!

68style 10-15-2023 07:43 PM

Or squeeze the suit on and when they ask if there’s any objections just flex and have it tear to shreds and be like roarrrrrrrr

I probably would have ripped the seams because I tried it on and it was pulled tight with my arms straight. If I flexed hard some of the seams would guarantee have popped/ripped. Don't think my wife would have been too happy with that.

Apparently what should have amounted to contempt of court will only land you a $5k fine...

How could they (the US courts) ever hope to establish any sense of authority?

US politician Jeff Wilson arrested on Hong Kong gun charge

Quote:

A US politician has been arrested in Hong Kong for having a gun in his carry-on luggage on a flight.

Jeff Wilson, a Republican senator from Washington state, was arrested at Hong Kong International Airport after arriving from San Francisco.

He appeared in court on Monday charged with carrying a firearm without a licence, and was released on bail.

Mr Wilson said it was "an honest mistake"and he expected it all would be resolved soon.

In a statement on his website, the senator said he was travelling with his wife on the first leg of a five-week holiday in Southeast Asia.

He said the weapon was not detected by airport security in Portland, Oregon, and he only discovered it when he was rummaging for chewing gum on the flight from San Francisco to Hong Kong.

Hong Kong's public broadcaster, RTHK, reported that customs officers found the revolver when conducting a bag check but the senator says he declared the item to customs as soon as he landed.

The US Transport Security Administration (TSA) told the BBC that they were aware of the incident and they were investigating the matter.

The senator said the gun was not registered in Hong Kong, but was registered in Washington state and that he holds a concealed pistol licence.

In Hong Kong, carrying a firearm without a licence is punishable by up to 14 years in prison and a fine of HK$100,000 (£10,400).

Mr Wilson appeared at Shatin Magistrates' Court on Monday accompanied by his wife and two other men.

He was released on cash bail of HK$20,000 (£2,100) and ordered to hand over his passport and return on Monday, 30 October.

The TSA says firearms cannot be taken in carry-on bags on international or domestic flights. They can be checked in, but the carrier must ensure they are locked in containers and declared to the airline while checking in.

The penalty for bringing a firearm to a TSA checkpoint may be as high as $15,000 (£12,300).

What an idiot. I wonder if he will beg for Bidens help.

68style 10-24-2023 10:45 AM

"It was an honest mistake" ahahahaha wonder what Jeffy would say if it was a black guy carrying weed saying the same thing??? "STRING HIM UP!!!"

What a loser. Also woof to the Portland airport security that's a pretty big gaff.

Traum 10-24-2023 11:07 AM

Hmm... this would be an interesting side show to keep an eye on. I wonder how the Communist Chinese gov would milk the situation to their advantage...

68style 10-24-2023 11:09 AM

Interesting how most articles are quoting Mr. Wilson as saying that he reported it as soon as he landed, but others are saying he got busted with it.

TSA is known to be fairly useless. Think one agency did a test and on average 70% of disallowed items still made it past.

68style 10-24-2023 12:17 PM

They get me with my half empty water bottle every single time tho

hud 91gt 10-24-2023 01:52 PM

Haha. I went travelling with a pretty robust camping knife in my bag. Fully searched 2 out of 3 times. They made sure my laptop powered on in the UK, and stole my toothpaste in Canada. It wasn’t until I grabbed my passport in Prague I felt the knife. Idiots lol.

Gumby 10-24-2023 03:05 PM

If you're a responsible gun owner, how can you not know where your firearms are at all times? How can you "forget" it in a bag and go travelling with it?

westopher 10-24-2023 03:12 PM

That's the fun part. 95% of "responsible gun owners" are not nearly responsible enough to own a gun.

whitev70r 10-24-2023 06:35 PM

The Republican party is a frickin joke ... they still can't choose someone to be the House Speaker. 3 candidates that got the party's choice withdrew ... Scalise, Jordon, and now Emmer. Trump tweeted that it would be a mistake to elect Emmer (he was one of 2 candidates who certified the previous election result meaning he affirmed that Biden won and Trump lost :lol).

spoon.ek9 10-24-2023 08:44 PM

I'm surprised no one has mentioned anything about Sidney Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, and now Jenna Ellis all pleading guilty and agreeing to testify against the other defendants.

mikemhg 10-25-2023 12:39 PM

I'm starting to believe that perhaps democracy isn't a net positive in the modern world.

I never thought I'd begin down that path of thinking, but here we are.

The electorate is far too misinformed and disinformed nowadays, what is the point of democracy if the populace is so ignorant on the actual policies and parties they're voting for? Further more what happens when said electorate is so polarized in which they never hold their party accountable for such disfunction?

I think we need to come to terms with the idea that a lot of these countries in the world might be better off with a Benevolent dictatorship, as democracy simply doesn't always work (many Latin American countries for example).

hud 91gt 10-25-2023 02:47 PM

Or a democratic government with dictatorship style decision making and a long enough term where things can actually be accomplished and seen through.

You guys are talking about China now

And it's true, they get shit done

But what happens if they make wrong decisions? There's no way to hold them accountable
