What's worse is running with a guy who's going to lose to someone who rapes children. The Dems and Biden are fully prepared to Thelma and Louise themselves off a cliff even though all the warning signs are there.
So the winds are shifting again, with top donors withholding $90M in pledged donations unless Biden goes. I feel like this is really gonna do Biden and/or the Dems in now. If Biden doesn't leave, the campaign doesn't have enough money to burn, and the party's reputation get tarnished, so they lose the election. And if Biden leaves, the Dems have so little time to go through nominations again (where the real goal is to drum up national recognition and support for the selected/elected candidate), so the new candidate also loses.

I suggested this before ... but why not Hakeen Jeffries to replace Biden, he is so low-key, no scandal, respected fellow (I think), consensus builder, nose to the ground get things done kind of guy.
They'd have to turf Kamala Harris though as VP ... affirmative action would suggest a white lady as running partner .. . Which might not be a bad thing in the bigger picture.
I feel like Jeffries is waiting for his moment to emerge as leader of the Dems .. maybe if not now, certainly, next election cycle.
Biden is known for his gaffs, the reality is this will be the headline every bloody single appearance he makes up until the election if he keeps running.
Trump can say all the crazy fucking shit he wants, but Biden's gaffs will be the headline every time.
The Democrats have to accept that and just call it now, have him step down, if it has to be Harris then so be it, have a short run-off to make it seem like she earned it, maybe a debate with other Democratic runners as well.
Biden will never be able to shake this feeble losing his mind narrative, what's done is done, he should accept it. People forget this man's ego, he's been vying for president almost his entire career, which is why he's falling over himself attempting to grip to one last shot at another term.

Then, almost immediately after, you follow that up with the Zelensky, Vice president trump, bla bla bla which is almost even worse than the debate spectacle. In an environment with very little pressure to perform, or not fuck up, you can’t even remember basic names..
