This perfectly explains what we talk about in this thread of how economies typically end up better under democratic or liberal governments.. although it takes immense amounts of time for it to reflect that because infrastructure isn't built overnight.

Not to say I support Trudeau for example... but the fallacy of thinking Conservatives in general are better at money is inarguably false ideologically and backed by historical economic data.

The same could be said about liberals and social issues.

Social issues come from economic disparity, which is a prime goal of conservative ideology.

This reminds me of something like the 3rd BC Conservative candidate that made racist remarks towards First Nations people / Muslims, and the candidate is in a vote recount at Juan de Fuca - Malahat.

I used to think people like these are just too stupid to know when to keep their mouths shut. But increasingly, I think they either:

- really think it is OK to make these racist remarks, or
- are doing it intentionally because they think it'll draw support

Does the US election affect us that much? I was at a work meeting and the CEO mentioned something about bringing a tv to view the election during our retreat and some people were legit triggered saying they would have anxiety and shit
