For one thing, the USMDA is due for a review / re-adjustment during the next presidential term. IMO we totally got bullied into an agreement that was far less fair, and far more favourable to the US at Mexico and our expense, but Freeland did the best she could and managed to keep our core interests intact.
With another Trump presidency, I have no doubt that we (and Mexico) will get bullied into an even worse revision than the USMDA we have now. I am particularly concerned about the EV / battery manufacturing we have, mostly in Ontario bcos our provincial and federal govs have sunk a LOT of money into attracting those investments here, and to protect jobs in those automotive manufacturing sectors. So if another Trump negotiation takes place, I'd be really worried about that.
And then there are other trade issues with the US. Trump has already indicated among his many ramblings that he will raise tariffs for everybody. That is just bad news for us since the US is by far our biggest trading partner.
I know it does affect us somewhat, but there's legit no point of having anxiety over this since it is out of our control.
honestly ya, i follow US politics a lot less than i did back between 2016-2020. whatever happens we have zero control and it's just energy we'll never get back. i still follow it a little but try not to doomscroll for hours like i used to.
Nicky Jam is so hot and sexy, what a loss to the Trump campaign.

Not all Altima drivers have the bumpers hanging off, but all bumpers hanging off are on Altimas.
Not all Trump supporters are deplorable, but all deplorables are Trump supporters
I'd change this:
Not all conservative minded people are deplorable, but all Trump supporters are.
If you want to be a good conservative, you should be doing everything in your power to get rid of Trump and move on to a normal human who has similar values to YOU. You can be conservative without being a wannabe nazi
If Trump reflects your actual values, then you're actually deplorable.
The absurdity of that aside, I cannot believe not a single person on his team stopped to think that this was a terrible idea; the only way the self-own would have been better is if the truck was on fire.
All these things are the signs of a team where the guy in charges says something and nobody has the balls to say that it's not a good idea. Or rather they know they will get fired if they do.
They literally can't do the jobs they were hired for, just make whatever he comes up with happen and then when it goes wrong issue ridiculous press statements.

So now we have IG pages sharing false claims about the election on the regular.
Nugget with 9.5M followers claimed trump is polling at 71% to win the election. Social media needs to just ban political information and posts entirely at this point.

i was watching the world series on a stream and the commercials there are wiiild. pharma commercials, political commercials, it's the wild west over there.
Also doesn't help that likely the people seeing them doesn't know how polling works or what it means relative to an actual election with electoral districts.

That's what happens when EVERYTHING is privately owned and pure , unregulated for-profit capitalism. Drugs and healthcare, education, insurance, etc.
