That's how they start. The catch the guys at the bottom first and work there way up. Trumps long time friend and owner of the national inquirer has just been given immunity.

The Mueller investigation might not get Trump on collusion but instead find other crimes he committed.

The Whitewater controversy, Whitewater scandal, or simply Whitewater, was an American political controversy of the 1990s. It began with an investigation into the real estate investments of Bill and Hillary Clinton and their associates, Jim McDougal and Susan McDougal, in the Whitewater Development Corporation. This failed business venture was incorporated in 1979 with the purpose of developing vacation properties on land along the White River near Flippin, Arkansas.

A March 1992 New York Times article published during the 1992 U.S. presidential campaign reported that the Clintons, then governor and first lady of Arkansas, had invested and lost money in the Whitewater Development Corporation.[1] The article stimulated the interest of L. Jean Lewis, a Resolution Trust Corporation investigator who was looking into the failure of Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan, also owned by Jim and Susan McDougal.

Lewis looked for connections between the savings and loan company and the Clintons, and on September 2, 1992, she submitted a criminal referral to the FBI naming Bill and Hillary Clinton as witnesses in the Madison Guaranty case. Little Rock U.S. Attorney Charles A. Banks and the FBI determined that the referral lacked merit, but Lewis continued to pursue the case. From 1992 to 1994, Lewis issued several additional referrals against the Clintons and repeatedly called the U.S. Attorney's Office in Little Rock and the Justice Department regarding the case.[2] Her referrals eventually became public knowledge, and she testified before the Senate Whitewater Committee in 1995.

David Hale, the source of criminal allegations against the Clintons, claimed in November 1993 that Bill Clinton had pressured him into providing an illegal $300,000 loan to Susan McDougal, the Clintons' partner in the Whitewater land deal.[3] The allegations were regarded as questionable because Hale had not mentioned Clinton in reference to this loan during the original FBI investigation of Madison Guaranty in 1989; only after coming under indictment himself in 1993, did Hale make allegations against the Clintons.[4] A U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigation resulted in convictions against the McDougals for their role in the Whitewater project. Jim Guy Tucker, Bill Clinton's successor as governor, was convicted of fraud and sentenced to four years of probation for his role in the matter.[5] Susan McDougal served 18 months in prison for contempt of court for refusing to answer questions relating to Whitewater.

Neither Bill Clinton nor Hillary were ever prosecuted, after three separate inquiries found insufficient evidence linking them with the criminal conduct of others related to the land deal. The matter was handled by the Whitewater Independent Counsel, Kenneth Starr. The last of these inquiries came from the final Independent Counsel, Robert Ray, (who replaced Starr) in 2000.[6] Susan McDougal was granted a pardon by President Clinton before he left office.

And that's how the Monica Lewinsky Scandal started.

What President hasn't engaged in supporting or enabling warfare / cartel (oil or drugs) empowerment and been guilty of sacrificing soldiers in other countries for little or no reason beyond their own capital interests? At least Obama wasn't tearing the country in half, spending half his day writing idiotic tweets and inciting riots and racism all over the place... whether Trump stands for any of that is a moot point, he is a catalyst for it regardless.

Man this shit is tiring. Happy to let the courts figure it out........ and stop pretending that I or anyone else on this thread actually knows what's happening or can account for every behind the scenes detail.

People seem to think the president/prime minister/grand poobah/whatever is directly overseeing every part of every thing the country does. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt they've had much input (if any) into things like half the stuff listed in that tweet. Most of what they take praise or criticism for has nothing to do with them personally, some other department was doing it while they just happened to be the face of the country.

The first point is the one I was trying to make. They are all criminals. The electoral system needs to be changed.

The unsolvable problem is that the kind of person who would make a good politician has zero interest in becoming a politician.

Won't lie, I'm getting extremely tired of seeing Trump in the news every day. Personally I don't like the guy or what he represents but it seems like the networks are looking for every little thing and reports the shit out of it. We get it, he's incompetent and has thin skin and every time you mention his name your ratings can go up by marginal percentages.

But goddamn. Give it a rest some nights. Can't even watch late night stand up shows without half of the routines talking about him. Starting talking about something else. Hell, just have an entire routine dedicated to an intern browsing r/awww and I'll be back in a heartbeat.

Sorry, just my morning rant.

His supporters were talking about how afraid they were of Obama possibly winning (*snicker*) and he very bluntly mentioned that Obama is a good man and that he would make a good POTUS and so forth. Basically he refused to go the dirt slinging route that many others would have done and he gained a lot of respect from me for that.

I think McCain represented an era of American politics that now seems pretty much dead, where respect was still held for your political opponents and you felt that despite their ideological differences they would still go out for a beer together after the debate.

Either way, RIP.

Did Mexico shaft Canada on the revised NAFTA deal? Previously, I heard that US was working with Canada on a deal but Canada wanted to wait and include Mexico. Now it appears US and Mexico have an agreement and Canada is a wall flower.

McCain planed his funeral in advance and is going to have Bush and Obama give the eulogy. 2 guys he lost to. Guess who is not invited.

Canada has to sign off on the deal, regardless of what Mexico and the US decide. If not, the WTO should step in. That said, does the Dotard actually care about anything? He's already pissed off the rest of the world in ways that Bush2 couldn't even dream of.

I'm not sure if what you said matters, because at the end of the day, Trump and Mexico has the option to simply let NAFTA expire, and then US and Mexico can sign a bilateral deal between themselves.

It certainly feels like Canada got shafted by Mexico, and I am not sure whether being left out of a free trade with the US and/or Mexico is better or worse than having been forced into a crappy deal.
