It's a travesty how these Republicans believe in stifling funding for public institutions, the above is an example of those results, I've actually been quite surprised by the lack of education in this state from my anecdotal observations through benign conversations.

Sure countries in Europe have higher taxes, yet on average people can fluently speak 2-4 different languages. A robust public education system is paramount to the future of any advanced civilization, it's frankly disgusting you have people running government with the short sighted mentality of only enriching themselves in the present, and fuck the future entirely.

At this point, Elon is unstoppable. He's got too much money, too much power, and if he can win an election somewhere in the EU, it's literally game over. He'll loosen whatever regulations in the US to benefit himself and his companies, do the same with the EU, and use this power in the West to gain favours with China.

What's interesting is that the hardcore MAGA loyalist, like Steve Bannon, had already called out Elon and warned the movement that he was a leftist planted within it. I believe Steve Bannon went after him today, but at this stage, it's too late. Trump isn't running again and could care less about MAGA and the rednecks who voted for him. For Trump this time around it's about making money for himself, his family and friends.

I hope German voters will do the right thing and keep AfD at bay. I feel like the (non-far right) German legislators have their minds and hearts in the right place, but they have become deeply unpopular among a good portion of the German public.

If the German Bundestag can manage to stave off the AfD in February, I wonder if they'll try anything to mess with Elon Musk at his Gigafactory Berlin? At this point, Musk has basically become a foreign interference at the German election. It would almost make sense for Germany to get back at Musk and Tesla for the sake of (their) national security.

Trump 2.0 definitely has less energy than when he first ran for president. It’s likely due to his age, as he’s 78 now, but also because being president is far from glamorous. The thing about Trump is he's always been more effective as a showman, rallying crowds, selling gold sneakers, and positioning himself as the underdog fighting against the establishment. That role fits his personality far better than the daily grind of being president.
