^A mere fraction of the overall budget, but let's not mention that right? Cause gotcha.
That Karen bitch pissed me off so much, oh ya, you want Newsom to pour a water bottle out the car into the fire hydrant? You think he'll let you jump on the call with the president? GTFO
You know where her politics lies, you'd be better off with a Republican governor, cause conservatives are known for their love of raising government budgets/funding right?
People on the right have been claiming that the fire hydrants in LA where dry and that caused a lot of problems. President Elon goes to investigate on a live stream. What a fkn idiot.
elon lied about being a top diablo and now path of exile player. just think of all the other credientials he's lied about his whole life if you have to lie about being good at fucking video games

This dumb fuck is talking about water in terms like Tesla orders. What a fucking moron.
Get ready for the next 4 years of using bloody natural disasters as political gotcha moments in bad faith.
The reality is the only reason they're doing this is because Newsom is likely a front-runner as Dem candidate for the 2028 election, they're using these fires as a convenient opportunity to attack him on a national scale.
It's all good. In 4 years, i don't mind him making a fool out of himself.
I do'nt mind him making a few mistakes... JUST make sure he makes 1 improvement.. and i'm happy.
Gretzky turning out to be a MAGA guy was a pretty big disappointment. I wasn't a fan of his support of Harper but that was at least understandable. Jumping on the Trump bandwagon is disgusting.
Biden and Blinken successfully arranges for ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
Of course Trump and MAGA trying to take credit for it.

Would it be prudent to just calm down and wait and see what actually happens when Trump slaps 25% tariffs on certain Canadian goods? It makes life of Americans more harder because it will cost them more to buy Cdn things ... no way the US is going to be able to instantly fill that consumer need and produce US equivalent. Maybe Americans paying through their noses for certain things in the short term will result in a backlash against Orange man.

It remains to be seen how the tariffs are gonna be implemented. Of course, I pretty much consider it a done deal that Trump is not going to back away from pushing it through, but there are still many moving parts that determines how both Canada and the US are gonna be affected by it.
One roll out plan that I've heard is a phased approach, where the US may impose an X% tariff at first for Y number of months. Then after a certain duration, they increase the tariff percentage, and keep doing so until it reaches the 25% target. This method would soften the inflationary pressures on US consumers buying Canadian stuff, and it would also serve as incentives for Canada to give into whatever demands Trump has.
Another possibility is -- businesses may choose to absorb some of the cost increase at first, instead of passing it down to their customers right away. If they simply pass all of the additional cost down right away, the (price) shock for their customers might be too big, and their business could end up hurting pretty badly from a drastic drop in sales.
You are right that US sources are not going to be able to step in to fill the void right away if the US buys fewer goods that were made in Canada. Raw materials and components need time to procure, and existing factories should hardly have any excess capacity that can just come online -- if they do, the business was not being run efficiently, nor is it maximizing its resource usage.
So for now, I'd say it is impossible to tell how things will play out bcos there are just too many variables.

Right now, it's just words. Good to see everyone planning out contingencies. Stupid ALberta of course won't bow to anything Tredeau wants. Let's see how this plays out.
Can't wiat to see the number of people who Trump deploys to fix things but yet to not work and churn a bunch of people over.
I still think 'TARIFFS' is a hillbilly whistle call. It is so simplistic to get his support base all excited but the implications in terms of economics on the country imposing it is multilayered.
If Trump was using it as a threat for Canada to tighten borders, it has already worked faster than anything that Cons has tried to force as opposition leader.
I know a guy that wants to take 3 of his cars to Barrett Jackson. But with the tariffs I don't think that would be possible because the buyer would have to pay 25% on top of the final auction price. What's going to happen to our car market? A lot of Canadian cars get shipped down to the states. I guess that will stop and bring down used car prices?

He's already trying to refill the swamp. Creating an 'External Revenue Service' to collect tariffs. When current tariffs are already collected by US Customs and Border Protection.
