I accidentally on purpose came across a webpage that listed the IQ of presidents. One was in the 170 range, but most were your average 140 - 160.

Trump was at 156 or so, iirc.

Having said that, it did state below the name that it was his claim, not results from a recognized test. Gulololol.....

Harvey Specter 01-30-2025 02:52 PM

Looks like tariffs are incoming on Sat, we might see another COVID style bailout for businesses if it's a blanket 25%.

Hopefully every fucking Trump supporter in Canada takes one up the ass.

AstulzerRZD 01-30-2025 03:05 PM

USDCAD and USDMEX pairs haven't moved all though - they're still in their channel.
.25% rate cut was also priced in.

Crazier things have happened.... but looks like financial markets are betting it's not going to happen
VIX went up during the announcement and is now back at baseline.

I'd take those numbers with a real grain of salt for all of the presidents. 100 is the population average. People with 140 - 160 are 0.1% of the population. Like a tenth of one percent.

A university grad would be between 98-110ish. Considering that by all reports Trump was a shit student and by some accounts, had his degree bought for him, I'd bet he's a 2 digit IQer.

Not that iq tests are great predictors of potential.

Well then............ wife was tested above 140 and my daughter was, at an early age, 150+ reading before she was three and way ahead in math. Kind of scary to be honest. And here I thought I was just dumb. Did not know I was above average. Maybe my ADD kept me from doing well. Like I said, I'm the first asian in the history of mankind to suck at math. Music was my thing.......... if only I could keep my thoughts together and on track.

But I agree, most of those tests are inaccurate. The ones based on problem solving are better than those based on general knowledge.

Also, I'm a firm believer in the multiple intelligences theory.

Even if 156 was true for Trump, his Emotional Intelligence is prob a negative number on the scale.

PeanutButter 01-31-2025 08:08 AM

I was watching this too. I sold my CAD money market funds and I was going to convert to USD because i'm worried about these tariffs.

And the Press Secretary says this March 1 date is false.

It seems pretty obvious to me that the Trump gov's right hand doesn't know WTF its left hand is doing. So many EO's and policy directions are in direct conflict with each other.

Yes, we want to keep inflation in check. But hey, let's tariff (our own people) to raise more revenues (so that I can afford the tax cuts for the rich)!

We're gonna do Star Gate -- it's the biggest and most beautiful AI program anyone will ever see. But let's slap huge tariffs on the only manufacturer in the world that can produce the semicondutor chips necessary for the Star Gate project!

We're cutting funding to aid programs and shxt. Oh wait, that is a bad idea, so we'll rescind that.

Birthright citizenship bad! Federal court rules the EO banning it unconstitutional.

And this gong show has only just started. We are literally on Day 11 right now.

You can't even make this stuff up... :failed:

Only a true RS'r would do that.

nabs 01-31-2025 11:05 AM

anyone else seen The Apprentice (Movie)? I stumbled across it at the BluRay section at the Library. I know theres an overload of this stuff all in our faces at this point. But the movie in itself is great, well shot, well acted, well directed, great cinematography. Well worth the watch, but it is more trump media, so the exhaustion was real.

I actually didnt pick it up at first but then thought about it when i got home, then picked it up.

Great68 01-31-2025 11:34 AM

Lol Trump IQ of 156. The guy is barely even literate.

underscore 01-31-2025 11:50 AM

^ I think there's supposed to be a decimal in there

Harvey Specter 01-31-2025 12:51 PM

Watching Trump's live press conference, looks like oil will get hit as well but he might reduce the tariff to 10%. Wall Street still thinks he's baffling.

Manic! 01-31-2025 01:30 PM

Looks like the EU might hit the US with 50% tariff on booze.

January 28: Buyout/retirement demand sent to existing employees
January 29: Helicopter/AA Airline plane collision

Rich

Possibly related to the teardown of the FAA and government employees, another deadly plane crash tonight, this one in Philly

They’ll blame JT, the Liberals, DEI, basically everyone except their supreme leader.

I wouldn’t be shocked. They’re literally gutting every government agency. You really have to start wondering if Trump is compromised by the Russians because what’s happening in America right now looks like a complete dismantling of the government. Or he's literally going full dictator mode and thinks he's unstoppable and above the law.

Yup, and the gutting of the FBI. Any agent that worked the Jan 6 riot cases, or mara lago raids, are being warned they either need to quit or may get fired. All over cases that they had no choice to get assigned to.
