Is he going to draw a new factory and the workers needed for it? |
Flint Michigan is going to be his practice Gaza |
i didnt want BYD to come here and screw up all the automotive jobs we have, but if trump is threatening to end all those jobs then we may as well open up the floodgates and all have $15k CAD BYD seagulls. i'd be livid if my neighbour was only spending 1/4 of the price for a comparable car due to my dumb ass president forcing their hand. |
Did you say herrow Ching Chong ling long car ?!?!? Ohhh yah I can’t wait to drive a build your JDM dreams dolphin or whale or panda |

what I didn't know was that a car travels back to US and Canada 8 times before a car is complete - CP24 news. Guess it's the parts flowing between the 2 sides cause we don't see bar bone cars being shipping... maybe it goes insdie a container i just don't know. |
yah, i don't get that concept at all, that does seem inefficient. Surely, it is way cheaper to ship the part and have parts installed in one plant vs. shipping the car back and forth 8x to have parts put in ??!! But what do I know? |
they make it confusing, but the way I understood it, is for example like the raw materials get shipped from canada, and the US might build a sheave, and then that gets shipped to canada where it is assembled as an alternator, then the alternator is shipped to the US, where it is bolted to an entire longblock assembly, and then that longblock assembly comes back over the border to be put into a car that is then completed and shipped back to the US for sale. This happens on a large scale for a lot of parts on the car, again this is a by product of this process having been no issue for the last 50+ years, so this is the system that came about. |
Then it is the part, not the car. |

Obviously unless it is a bespoke pagani, they arent shipping the entire car whole back and forth to multiple factories in order to complete the thing. That would be highly idiotic for a fucking Rav4 or whatever. The part that the media is trying to convey though is important, that a tariff like this, could spiral quickly out of control, because we arent just talking: $40K Rav4 x 1.25 = $50k landed in the US. You are talking about adding 1.25x onto multiple components of the car, sometimes multiple times on the same part as it ping pongs back and forth, until it is finally assembled into a car, and then the whole car finally gets an additional 1.25x. So all of a sudden the parts that make up the car might be 1.25X or 1.5X more expensive as well, so that $40K car becomes $55k to build cause of the added expense of all its parts, and then that $55k car becomes a ~$68k car landed in the US if it isn't assembled there. I figure you understand this, but there's 60 guests looking at this thread, some of which might not. |
^ Who cares about the guests. Most of them are bots anyways. The lowest denominator here is a lot higher than the average public. |
And don't forget the recently announced tariffs on steel and aluminum. It is added on top of other tariffs. From the news I was reading, the tariff on aluminium alone can add $1500 to a car. He didn't mention how much the steel tariff would add. |

When Jared Kushner was speaking about Gaza's beachfront real-estate, and the money that could be made on developing the land, he was saying the internal plan out loud. This has ALWAYS been the play, the entire war in Gaza by Israel was this plan, the intention was always to annex Gaza, and develop it for the elite. I laugh at those idiotic voters in Dearborn, MI who complained that Harris didn't support Palestine enough, and that's why they voted for Trump. Well suckers, here's what you get. |
Whatever happened to those Free Palestine protests that were annoying the shit out of downtown victoria every other day during the summer? |

^Kushner and his family owns a multi-national real-estate development company. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kushner_Companies In 2020, ProPublica and WNYC reported that Kushner Companies received "a near-record sum" from government-backed lender Freddie Mac. The $786 million in loans helped Kushner Companies purchase thousands of apartments in Maryland and Virginia and appeared to come with "unusually good terms," raising conflict of interest questions due to Jared Kushner's role as Senior Advisor to the President of the United States. https://www.timesofisrael.com/livebl...sit-last-week/ Report: PM met with Jared Kushner, said to be behind Trump’s Gaza plan, during US visit last week Trump and his family will get exclusive contracts, you better believe it. This will be no different than when Dick Cheney got all those exclusive contracts through Halliburton in Iraq. People have amnesia, the corruption is a clear as day, but here we were getting earbeatings about trannys in sports, and Hunter Biden's jizz covered laptop. |
It keeps getting more ludicrous. https://www.rollingstone.com/politic...on-1235265633/ The fucking gal this guy has to allege "wasteful spending in government, and ZOMG the deficit!!!". Money for programs that benefit the public are bad, but for Elon, and Trump's circle of thieves, all good. As Elon Musk‘s so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continues its punitive onslaught against government agencies in what he claims is an effort to reduce wasteful spending, his own companies continue to enjoy lucrative federal contracts. Tesla and SpaceX have been awarded some $230 million worth of contracts so far in 2025, on top of billions claimed over the past several years. Now, as first reported by Drop Site News, it appears that President Donald Trump‘s State Department, led by Marco Rubio, expects to pay $400 million for some kind of “armored” Tesla vehicles. We have truly passed the point of pure kleptocracy at this point. It's truly shocking and should be referenced constantly. |
It's crazy what they are doing and it only makes sense if they think they can keep power after their term. There's no way Elon Musk is going able to get off scott free if a Democrat wins the next term. Right? |
Ehhhhhhhh I think only 1/4 of the democrats are mad about what's happening to be honest. As much as they like to paint them as some radical commies I'm sure that dems like Nancy pelosi and the like are just like eh whatever at least I don't have to do a land acknowledgment before my day of insider trading from my office. |

The level of corruption on full display for the public is insane, and I can't imagine this ending well for Elon. If you’ve noticed, Trump is dumping everything on him. Basically, Elon is the one signing all the bad cheques. And when shit hits the fan, Trump won’t be the one left holding the bag. |
I am not in any way defending Elon, but at least when it comes to SpaceX, it is not at all surprising that SpaceX is getting a gob ton of government contracts. The fact of the matter is, SpaceX is practically the only contender in the aerospace field leading by a million miles. Their costs to launch stuff into space is cheaper than all other competitors by multiple times, in addition to being far more reliable too. And then there is StarLink. Again, nobody else in the field has as extensive a satellite network as StarLink does. And when it comes to Internet access in remote areas, StarLink is also by far the most sensible choice both bcos of cost and performance. Quote:

so what companies should we be buying stocks of?? these clowns are going to do it so why don't we....who's the next blow up. |
