He wanted to eject Canada out of an intelligence-sharing group known as the Five Eyes that also includes Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
He wanted to tear up the Great Lakes agreements and conventions between the two nations that lay out how they share and manage Lakes Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie and Ontario.
And he is also reviewing military cooperation between the two countries, particularly the North American Aerospace Defense Command.

You notice the statements about goods that aren't being tarriffed? "All exempt products under CUSMA from Can/Mex won't be tarriffed." It was the most carefully worded statement I've heard from the US so far.
I feel like a US Gov Lawyer pointed out that they'd be violating the CUSMA agreement, and they'd get bent over and fucked hard when Can/Mex take them into any tribunal/world trade court and lose spectacularly. That it would be a slam dunk case for us/mex.

Tbh as much as I respect the response I am not sure I would want to see us go backwards back to Trudeau.
Admittedly it would be a tough position for whoever's coming in fresh to know how to stand up to Trump, but I wouldn't want recency bias to ignore the mistakes he's made in the past like the TFW program and cozying up to corporations.

I think this is what bothers me about all the anti-china propaganda. I'm not pro-China whatsoever, but like it's kinda like the pot calling the kettle black. The hypocrisy is unreal in the US. And who made them the authority of the world. More and more, I'm interested in learning about other regions and wanting to learn more about their perspective of the US cause for awhile Canada touted whatever the US wanted.

I think the only reason Trudeau is able to have the response he does is the "fuck it" feeling he is allowed to have as his exit looms. Sometimes having nothing to lose is the best thing someone can have when it comes to negotiation strategies or battles. I don't think the response could be as strong if there was more calculation about blowback from standing up to the rotten orange.

The pressure on the unvaccinated was extreme, and THOSE patriots were mocked ruthlessly, but now all of the NPCs are following along with the "ElbowsUp" nonsense and flag-waving because the TV told them to? Unreal to witness such mass manipulation. It is like people's minds are under control.
Where were the Canadian patriots when all the drugs became poisoned and so many people lost their lives from that? After 2014 it was like a hockey stick chart. Before 2014, you could do any drug under the sun and nobody overdosed. Are there any ClubVibes.com veterans still around here? Remember being young and partying from the 90's through the 00's.... NOBODY overdosed. You never heard about kids or anyone dying unless they did something stupid like pop 10 caps of e at once like that one death at the PNE Halloween concert that year.

I'm really curious about this -- 3 years into the Russo-Ukraine war, what sort of sanctions has the US not levied against Russia yet?
The Russian economy is still going sufficiently strong thanks to a shift into a war-time economy, plus all the underground smuggling of goods from co-conspirators, plus China & India still buying gob tons of oil from Russia, PLUS the fxxking EU buying records amounts of LNG from Russia.
If the US really wants to dole out some serious economic punishment against Russia, it should start slapping sanctions on all the countries that are still buying O&G products from Russia, as well as those that are smuggling good into Russia as well.
