But what about our children, our people, our society, and our country?
Our own people are starving, becoming homeless, dying and yet somehow Ukraine, Palestinians, lgbtqs are more important and worth spending hundreds of billions of dollars on.
Libs could care less about Caucasians and yet that’s 70% of Canadians. If you guys don’t see the hypocrisy, I really don’t know what to say.
But let me ask you something, if you would have to choose between helping a kid on the street vs. feeding your own child, what would you choose?
I hate this kind of argument because it vastly oversimplifies a complicated problem down into a dichotomy, and that is just not true. But it is what a lot of people do when they try to string together a false argument.
Using your analogy for a moment -- it isn't an either/or option to help a kid on the street vs feeding my own child. It is at worst giving away my kid's afternoon snack so that the kid on the street wouldn't starve to death. USAID, for example, accounts for a tad over 1% of the US GDP, but it saves tons of lives, helps people in need, AND it helps the US to create a very positive image of itself around the world.

lol. So much hate in this thread. I thought lefties are the side of love and compassion.
It’s not that we don’t care about anything, but rather about what priority to care.
The libs don’t give a rat ass about we, the people. The care about narratives.
I care about Zionists
I care about Palestinians
I care about vaccines
I care about transgenders
I care about any of this culture war bullshit
That’s you lefties very argument on why you are the “good guys”.

Tell me more about how you, and the Republicans you support care about "starving people"
You and I both know you're talking complete bullshit, you don't believe in any of that.
Hahaha... wait... let me finish... ahahahahahaha. This laugh goes for you to post these "sources" and those who thanked him for this.
You guys don't know jackshit about the actual situation and those articles you chose to include shows you are in your little bubble. You read some articles and believe that you have the understanding of the whole situation.
What's the actual situation in the US? Before those funding were in, parents were free to bring/buy kids whatever they felt like. There were actually businesses who competed for their business offering high quality food at affordable prices.
Kids from poor and/or less fortunate families had programs in place to make sure kids wouldn't go hungry and came from the same quality vendors. This either came from PAC, municipalities and/or vendors themselves.
Once the "funding" kicked in, only "selected vendors" were allowed to participate in the program and many districts prohibit parents to bring their own food for the sake of "equality" or "ensuring everyone getting the right nutrients".
What Trump did was nothing but eliminating those fundings and requirements and going back to what it used to be.
I have many F&F in the States and none of them liked these programs and their kids are being fed with shit. And the fact that they were prohibited to bring their own lunch made the whole matter worse. Many of them went as far as transferring their kids to private schools just so their kids wouldn't complain that they were hungry after coming home from school.
These are kids who were in their growing period for fuck sake. Would you be happy if they forced your kids into these programs and your kids aren't getting enough for their body.
Don't take my words for it. Go ask around for your F&F with kids in the States who had experienced with both before and after the program came into effect and get back to me.

Can you provide sources?
Not saying I don't believe you. I can see that totally being the case, but sources.

I don't have sources other than what I was told and seen them venting their anger on social media from F&F who live in CA and MA.
I'm sure programs might vary from State to State. But I know for a fact that all CA public schools provide free lunch (with selected vendors) and some even breakfast as I have many F&F who live/lived there and with sample size big enough that it's not an isolated school but everywhere in CA from San Diego, Irvine, LA to Bay Area. Similar scheme also happens in MA. And PAC/Vendor sponsored lunch was from some F&F in NY.
But 100% of them all showed nothing but frustration with the program. I have yet to see a happy story about it. And everyone said the program that was in place before was better.

No personal offense intended, but I think you're kinda the last person I would ask almost anywhere for a reality based account of the plight of poor people in the USA.
Like you have ZERO in common with them and I'm sure all your F&F are quite well off too. CA and MA are extremely poor examples to base the rest of the country on given they are lierally #1 and #2 on the list of who takes the LEAST of any state in the entire USA for funding. They pay more into the system than they take out. Bitching about the quality of free food and not wanting it is a big difference from it being the only food you have.
There's literally investigative reports that have come up recently that I've watched where schools in Texas say they won't know what to do if funding gets cut (before it got cut) because some kids don't eat between Friday and Monday as school is the ONLY place they get any food from.
So, yes, Trump is failing his own country's children despite an America First fallacy. It's a Rich First agenda.

I get my news from DW news in Germany. I don't know why, I don't trust the American outlets to report anything factual. Both right and left leaning sources.

You're hilarious
You proceed to claim that I have no idea what I'm talking about, without providing any evidence other than some ridiculous anecdotal hearsay from your cheap family?
The onus is on you. I provided sources, show me evidence that parents can't provide their kids with lunches outside of school programs, that's completely untrue, a boldface lie.
You claim people are "starving", like you're some bleeding heart (which you're not). I provided you direct sources in show Trump is cutting or outright removing programs that provide food to the underserved and working class. You provided nothing in contrary to that other than you're raving dad whose pissed off about his taxes going to the "poors".
Give me some specific policies Trump is attempting to pass that will benefit the working class, and put food on the table for people.

DW is fantastic. I like it even better than BBC World.

There's no point in providing facts or data to hehe. It's all just ignored or he's completely incapable of interpreting it.
As long as Elon and orange chode tells him it's a certain way, nothing could ever be otherwise.
He's just Jason without the funny stories.

Speaking of facts and data, I do not think that Cheeto is even looking at economic data when President Dumbass puts tariffs on the exports of other countries.
I wondered what were the main causes of the Great Depression of the 1930s:
What were the major causes of the Great Depression? Among the suggested causes of the Great Depression are: the stock market crash of 1929; the collapse of world trade due to the Smoot-Hawley Tariff; government policies; bank failures and panics; and the collapse of the money supply.
Hmmm. The U.S. stock markets are in correction territory now based on the articles that I read on CNN. A 10% decrease in a stock market index constitutes a correction.
I really hope that history does not repeat itself. What Cheeto is doing now with his tariffs is creating conditions that are similar to the main causes of the Great Depression.

So your sources are what? MSM who care nothing but thing that fit their narrative. Meanwhile, people who are living in those places suffer from the poor decisions.
I said, don’t take my words for it. Go meet someone from those states who have kids in the school and see how they feel about the program.
Don’t be a keyboard warrior and rely on msm. You can
You can have the best sounding programs on paper and all media hail for it but if it sucks monkey ball’s for people who have to bear with those programs, does that sound like a good program?
The fact is that the program in place worked fine. The Fed decided to step in and benefit those who are connected. Meanwhile, you lib lunatics cheer for bad policy. If there was any positive things about the program, I’d say that we agree to disagree. But when 100% of my social circle hates it, something must be horribly wrong with it.

Is your social circle representative of the average US population?

Down here most of the decent beef (like grocery store shelves, in between butcher shop and frozen quality) is most commonly imported from Australia and NZ. The cheap frozen stuff used to be from Brazil, but eventually became American over the last few years. But now I guess it'll be going back to Brazil soon.
I even see British and Irish frozen beef, but I don't like the way it tastes.
