He has to rail against white guys not being special to the dreaded "woke" because those dreaded "wokeys" are attempting to even the playing field out, which is only realy possible by taking a dip too far in the other direction, which they have, which is what so many people are upset about, and because he IS a white guy who didn't have things easy, and possibly (from the sounds of it) even worse than a lot of marginalized groups, he can't fathom it because it feels like he has to fight against being a white guy AND society to climb out of a hole now when really he's never understood or appreciated what's just naturally fallen into place for him without any noise or aberrations in the force as an average white guy when he was dong really well now that he's squandered it all and has to start from the bottom again.
The real villain in his story seems like his parents, but I guess the "woke mob" are a good substitute when they're the only ones alive to rail against/blame.

It's okay, the Reddit hivemind knows exactly what I'm insinuating and the video above is just another drop in the ocean of evidence that the claims of "marginalization" are completely backwards.
We all know who the system wants to uplift when it comes to the lower and middle classes, while those same standards don't apply to the elites. Hence why Ruby Dhalla was torpedo'ed by the Liberal party and not even given a chance, while Mark Carney was coronated from day 1. Rules for thee, and all, is the gold standard for Canadian culture since wokeism paved over our culture.

Is life difficult now? Sure, but a lot of that is due to what happened as a result of the bullshit during COVID. I'd be making fat money in 2025 if it weren't for that colossal amount of bullshit, media coordination, and insane government overreach. Shit crushed my balls for sure. But, here I am on a Sunday morning, cooking breakfast, socializing on a forum, getting ready to code with the AI and Cursor and work on my comeback.
Even Elon's rockets have to fall back to Earth for a refueling.

I feel like the F35 purchase is a damned if you do and damned if you don't type of thing. On one hand, there are so many reasons why Canada should really go through with the purchases. On the other hand, given the currently strained relationship with the US, it also feels wrong to keep giving that much money to the US.
My concern would be where do we get parts for maintenance if the relationship with the US sours even further? If the US or Russia decide to make a grab for some of our territory, the US isn't going to keep selling us parts for the equipment we're using to defend it.

That is entirely true, and that's part of the reason why this is such a difficult decision to make.
For the time being, I continue to -- perhaps naively -- refuse to believe that Americans in general have taken an antagonistic attitude towards us. Trump and his yes man cronies definitely do, so the next 4 years are going to be difficult. But when Trump eventually leaves the picture in 4 years, I would expect US-Canada relationships to return to a far more "normal" state. This is not to say that Canadian trust towards the US would completely recover, but at least we shouldn't be antagonistic.
I feel like that iuf we can find some sort of pause button on the F35 purchase, or only make a nominal purchase until the coast becomes more clear, that would be the ideal solution.
