The goal hasn't been a 30 foot concrete wall for 2000miles for a long time, stop pretending it is.
If manic says anything less than a full wall is a lose for welfare then I would say anything more than $20 towards a wall is a loss for manic.
Edit: what am I even doing here. I need for remove RS from my bookmarks this place is ridiculous.
It's got nothing to do with the structure. He could plant tulips along the southern border and I'd win.
It's about the funding. He and i both know that.
So long as barrier is put where it didn't exist before.

Now we're talking.
We have a deal.

Trudeau should serve Timbits and A & W burgers, onion rings etc. to the team that wins the Vanier Cup if Trump is serving McD's and Wendy's fast food to Clemson. Trump's staff ordered 300 burgers.

Just so you're aware, i know good and well that there's a fair chance that I may lose this bet.
I mainly made it to bring a little of the sorely lacking old fashioned RS excitement back to this place.
Hopefully the patrons are entertained.
May the best man win. And good luck.

So when ISIS claims responsibility for an attack in Syria, just as America is about to pull it's troops, it's immediately credible.
But when they claim responsibility for an attack in Canada, "there's no evidence to suspect" (even though there's plenty). "He was just suffering from a mental illness". https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/ammo-s...-bed-1.4255765

According to the documents, police searched the apartment Hussain shared with his parents and found a significant cache of ammunition, some of which was designed for shotguns and AK-47 rifles. Included in the array were a number of extended-capacity magazines, which are often illegal to possess in Canada.
No guns of that type were found, which raises questions about whether they fell into other hands and whether Hussain may have had ideas beyond heading to the Danforth with a handgun.
“What was the big plan here?” CP24 crime specialist Steve Ryan said Tuesday.
“The shooting that happened on the Danforth happened with a single firearm, but he had all this ammunition and all these magazines in his house. All he was missing was the other firearms.”
Also seized from Hussain’s apartment were a white powder suspected to be cocaine and four DVDs detailing conspiracy theories that the 9/11 attacks were planned by the U.S. government.
Ten-year-old Julianna Kozis and 18-year-old Reese Fallon were killed during Hussain’s July 2018 rampage, during which witnesses reported seeing him zig-zagging down the Danforth and seeming to fire his gun indiscriminately.
After exchanging gunfire with police, the documents reveal, Hussain died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Family members have claimed Hussain suffered from severe mental health challenges. He was regarded by police as an “emotionally disturbed person” and had been linked to three police incidents prior to the shooting, but had no criminal record. He had been arrested for shoplifting and subsequently granted an unconditional release two days prior to the attack.

Let me guess, you watch CNN daily for an hour of brainwashing.
Oh you got me bro! I love coming home and spending an hour watching doomsday talk on the news, super uplifting!
Looks like you spend your time watching YouTube videos from a guy who’s known for fact manipulation and doing such wonderful things such as using money he collects from charities to buy products he produces for profit.
I'd like to see actual numbers to what this guy says. Otherwise, it's just a reply to the networks conjecture. Which don't show any data or statistics either.
Are these government workers going to get backpay for hours worked? As he alludes to, or are they actually working for free?
I do agree that a government jobs shouldn't be a guarantee to work, and should be subject to performance reviews.

Keep up the good work
To be honest I have no idea who that guy is although I have seen him before.
It seems like it's common here to look at the person spewing the info and judging his/her character rather than judging the strength of ideas.
You don't know who John Stossel is...yet you post a video from the guy asking for people to counter argue it?
LOL. This thread has turned to trash.
Really hoping this government shutdown is resolved so that the 6 month bet can start. By the way, have the mods confirmed via IP if welfare doesn't carry any other accounts on this site, such as Birddog3k?

Fake accounts? To what end? I've already discussed to this accusation of yours in the Canadian Politics Thread, but you didn't seem to address any of it.

I don't believe anyone should receive that treatment regardless of how moderate or extreme their views, but it certainly seems our society is reaching that point.
I'm not sure why you are so skeptical given that less than a month ago you and others were welcoming and accepting of opinions from a new account (emililadjet) after she went straight into politics in a thread marking the passing of G. Bush.
I was going to make a big response to counter birddog's stances and his odd debate style of opening with disrespect for others and their opinions, but others beat me to it. However I find it interesting that such disrespect is called out immediately by those who disagree with his opinions while others on here are constantly disrespected and insulted for respectfully sharing similar political opinions to birddog.
Whoop-dee-doo, Mr. Stossel made a point that some jobs are better left to the private sector. Thats an entirely different debate. I agree with his point that the media is guilty of sensationalizing stories, regardless of where they stand on the political spectrum. But, that's not the point.
The main question we should all be asking ourselves is how long after you stopped getting paid at your current job would you continue showing up to work? Some workers will be in a better position to weather the financial hit, while others not so much.
This reminds me of Phoenix-pay issues in the federal government.
The main question we should all be asking ourselves is how long after you stopped getting paid at your current job would you continue showing up to work?
What exactly are you looking for me to address? When did I ever advocate the idea of an account like emililadjet posting his/her first posts in a political thread in this forum? I never felt the need to address your comments, because that was not my viewpoint.
If you don't think it's strange for any new account, whether left-wing or right-wing, to log their very first posts within an obscure political thread on a Vancouver lifestyle forum, then I think you're ignorant, or showing purposeful cognitive dissonance.
My question is simply to ask if there are mods that review newly created accounts to verify if they are duplicates of existing members, especially if there is a 6-month ban bet in place here.
What is the point of a politics thread if some posters feel the need to create troll accounts to push their viewpoints? My comments are an observation of that, not a debate.
