On the main stage at the front of the rally, event organizer Tommy Gunn and conservative black Facebook personality Henry Davis took notice of Newsome and his group in their red, black, and green pan-African garb amid all the red, white, and blue. "Ignore them! They don't exist!" Gunn said to cheers from the crowd. At first, Newsome and his crew were unsure how to respond. But then all of them started chanting, "Black Lives Matter!" over and over again with raised right fists.
Then, the last thing any of them expected happened. A security guard leaned over and spoke into Newsome's ear. Apparently Gunn, a conservative internet personality who goes by the name Pissed Off American online, had changed his mind. Instead of ignoring the activists, he decided he wanted his security team to escort them onto the stage.
When BLMGNY finally reached the platform, Gunn addressed the crowd. "You guys know the Mother of All Rallies was to end the political violence. It's about freedom of speech. It's about celebration." Then he looked back at Newsome and the BLM members.
"We're going to give you two minutes of our platform to get your message out. Whether [the audience disagrees or agrees] with your message is irrelevant. It's the fact that you have the right to have the message."
It was then that Newsome took hold of the mic and delivered a speech. The six-foot-four, 250-pound New Yorker started off by introducing himself to the audience, first as an American, then as a Christian. Amid a lot of jeers and a few cheers, he explained why there was a Black Lives Matter movement in the first place: "Because you can watch a black man die and be choked to death on television. And nothing! Happens!" He went on. "The reason why we fight is to draw attention to issues and to fix it. We are not anti-cop! We are anti-BAD-cop!"
Finally, Newsome related that stance to something the people of the rally could understand. "If a cop is bad, he needs to get fired. Like a bad plumber. Like a bad lawyer. Like a bad fuckin' politician!" The crowd roared in approval. "If we really want to make America great, we do it together!" After he finished, a woman handed Newsome a miniature American flag, which he waved back and forth through the air. As BLMGNY stepped off the stage, hundreds of Trump supporters chanted "USA! USA!"
First, he introduced himself by identifying with them. That often works.
Second, it's not about race. It's about respect. (Generally speaking) conservatives will have more respect for a black man who obeys the law than a white man who doesn't.
They'll have more respect for a black lesbian who is working than a white straight man who isn't and is not attempting to.
And they'll have more respect for a black athlete who stands for the national anthem than a white one who doesn't.
Third, the crabs in the bucket are probably one of the biggest contributing factors of divide. The fact that a good majority of his affiliates scorned him for having a dialog is indicative of the level.
Anyways, just a really interesting article i thought.

The one between the British and the Amuricans?
.............or the time Napolean invaded Russia. 1812 Overture. Such a great classic by that Russian composer, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
That's on my bucket list. Hearing the 1812 Overture played live by a full orchestra. Complete with real canons.
Napoleonic Wars. Great time for historians and war buffs. The Battle of Waterloo that took place near Hougoumont farm was an epic example of warfare of this era. The Battle of Quatre-Bras, Ligny, etc. Then there were the awesome regiments that took part in the Battle of Waterloo......... the French Cuirassiers, Prussian Lancers (my favourite), the Black Watch, Grenadier Guards, Queen's Dragoon Guards, King's Royal Hussars, the French Imperial Guards, and even the Swiss Militia.
The "Square" formation of the British infantry against the feared charge of the Cuirassiers was a brilliant tactic. Cannons firing grape shots at point blank against infantry at full charge......... damn. What's really interesting is that Napoleon could have easily defeated the allied forces. One fatal error. Dude waited too long to attack. He waited for the ground to dry in the afternoon. By then, the Allied forces go reinforcements. Oh well, it wasn't like they had radio communications and aerial reconnaissance.
I was into table-top wargaming in my younger days. Totally loved Napoleonic era. Recreated the Battle of Waterloo so many times. Painted and created many a figures in HO scale. Where the hell were 3D printers back then? LOL.
sorry........... Tangents R Us

On Friday, speaking to reporters before leaving for a Group of Seven summit in Canada, Trump challenged those players, the majority of whom are African-American, to advise him on employing his pardon power. He said his staff was examining some 3,000 cases of people who might deserve clemency.
“I am going to ask all of those people to recommend to me, because that’s what they’re protesting - people that they think were unfairly treated by the justice system. And I understand that,” Trump said. “They’ve seen a lot of abuse and they’ve seen a lot of unfairness.”

WASHINGTON — The House by an overwhelming 360-59 vote passed a bipartisan reform bill Tuesday that provides more education for federal prisoners and gives them a second chance after their release.
Authored by Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-Brooklyn) and Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.), the First Step Act would authorize $250 million over five years to develop and expand programs that reduce recidivism and give incentives for good behavior.
The bill would also boost current inmates’ chances for a GED, vocational and college courses as well as substance abuse and mental health help, Jeffries told lawmakers on the House floor.
President Donald Trump said Friday that he was inclined to support a bipartisan effort in Congress to ease the U.S. ban on marijuana, a proposal that would dramatically reshape the nation's legal landscape for pot users and businesses.
The federal ban that puts marijuana on the same level as LSD and heroin has created a conflict with about 30 states that have legalized pot in some form, creating a two-tiered enforcement system at the state and federal levels.

"Meek and mild"
I am still laughing my ass off at that very descript depiction. Bravo i say.
I mean, does anyone actually believe that Trudeaux, the self proclaimed feminist, was going to "talk tough" to Trump?
correct me if I'm wrong, But as far as i can tell, the US has the leverage. Since they've been running a hefty deficit for ages.
And if Canada can enforce protectionist trade policies on the US with dairy (270% tariff), why shouldn't US be able to do the same with steel and aluminum?

Welfare when Canada, the US, and Europe all have their money supply controlled by Anglo Zionist... do you really think "presidents" and "prime ministers" are negotiating trade deals?
You have to admit though, he is great with those monikers and catch phrases.
They always fit so perfect.
"Meek and mild Trudeaux"
