He doesn't even have time to make the ballot in most States as an independent at this point.

There are many areas where returning home is simply not an option:

- Not all countries offer repatriation/emergency flights, many don't.
- Students doing experimental work that don't count as a "class" which requires them to be on campus (phDs)

^An overlooked part of this is there are foreign students who are married to/living with American citizens. You don't have to be a racist to realize what this is all stemming from.
