I’m at most left leaning and I hate Trump, I’ll be happy the day that he dies, virus or no virus, he’s been an absolutely terrible human being his entire life. Good riddance.

Btw turn on all the major news networks including CNN the most left news agency out there, they’re all saying this is terrible news that shouldn’t happen to anyone before they say anything else... so what’s your point?

Trump often showed glee when people he doesn’t like died... just returning the favour :)

I'm seeing a lot of people on social media suggesting that Trump is gonna use his positive test for COVID as a means to postpone the election.

I'm really rather surprised to see people suggesting that because:

1) I think it would be suicidal for Trump to try something like that, even if it is something he can do.

2) Under the US constitution, Trump does not have the authority to postpone the election anyway -- any delay would have to be approved by Congress, and the House is controlled by the Democrats. Even the Senate only has a slight GOP majority.

So the show will go on. Assuming Trump doesn't die from COVID, do you think his positive test is going to net him a more favourable result?

Or if Trump really dies from COVID, then what? Pence would take up the lead, and then he'll find a running mate in a hurry?

Damn...

I haven't seen that suggestion, but like you said, it's not possible. If he can't run for whatever reason, the GOP will have to nominate someone else. I believe Pence would stand in as president until the election is over, but he doesn't have to be their nominee.

People don't even vote directly for the president, they vote for regional electors who select the president their party nominates. So I assume the show will go on with or without Trump.

I bet a lot of stuff will be coming out before the election.

It's pathetic that with all the speech about how Trump and Reps are spreading hate... it's you who hate the most.

Super crazy theory here:

Trump doesn't like to lose, sees writing on wall, uses catching coronavirus as a means to step aside/step down without losing face?

“Lefties” seem to be anyone left of extreme right in the opinions of certain members. Then these same members are always pointing out political divisiveness and inconsistent standards without any self-awareness or sense of irony. Irritating as fuck.

No shit. The guy and his supporters say abhorrent things about all sorts of people, and all of a sudden they demand virtue?

Like fuck off, that ship sailed years ago.

You've never heard of Dixiecrats? Which triggered the switch of Southern Democrats over to the Republican party, essentially flipping the two parties?

Just watched the first few mins, he's so right

Contrary to what the media headlines are stating, he didn't refuse to condemn white supremacy.
Here's the transcript:

Quote:

WALLACE: “Are you willing tonight to condemn white supremacists and militia groups…”

TRUMP: “Sure…”

WALLACE: “And to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities as we saw in Kenosha, and as we’ve seen in Portland”

TRUMP: “Sure, I’m prepared to do it, but I would say almost everything I see is from the left-wing not from the right-wing. I’m willing to do anything, I want to see peace…”
He's denounced the KKK, and white supremacy in general on multiple occasions.
The problem comes when he's asked to denounce the proud boys as a white supremacist group, probably because it's not entirely clear that they are.

Quote:

WALLACE: “Then do it, sir.”

BIDEN: “Do it, say it.”

TRUMP: “What do you want to call them? Give me a name.”

WALLACE: “White supremacists and right-wing militias”

BIDEN: “Proud Boys”

Trump: “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s got to do something about Antifa and the left.”
Personally I don't think what he said was wrong at all. Except telling them to "stand by" which could be interpreted as a gaffe, referring to Wallace's "stand down" comment, if anyone wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I mean Biden has made plenty of gaffes himself.

Something doesn't smell right about this whole Covid diagnosis.

It's too coincidental, clearly they're going to have to scrap the remaining debates?

I wonder if he'll use this as a method to essnetially "prove" Covid isn't a real issue, sort of how Bolsonaro has attempted to do so after contracting the virus as well?

Trump gets COVID, bounces back like it's nothing, then claims "see I told you, it's weaker than the flu, fake pandemic".

Who knows at this point, such a frustrating time where we can't take a single thing for face value from this man.

I have ZERO sympathy for you or your family. As an ER doc, I've lost 3 colleagues and a 27 y.o. healthy cousin to this virus. You're the reason 207,000 Americans are dead and over 1,200 healthcare workers. You've failed AMERICA. I can't wait to VOTE YOU OUT!!!

After the dissolve of the dixiecrats, of the 26 representatives, only 3 transferred to the Republican party. The rest became Democrats where they would continue to oppose the civil rights acts of 1957, 60, and 64.
You can look that up if you like. The political switch theory is an attempt to rewrite history.
The cold truth is the Democrat party has always been the party of slavery, opposition to civil rights, segregation, and racism.
The Republican party freed the slaves, fought for civil rights, free market, and the constitution.

Almost everyone who gets close to trump gets screwed over. His wifes, bussiness partners, people who worked for his campain some who are in jail right now all got fckd. Now this. Multiple people including the chairwoman for the RNC have got the corona/died because of him.

Trump's treatment plan for COVID:

Zinc and Vitamin D are supposed to be good for preventative measures.

No HCQ interestingly enough.
