I doubt the date is correct but things are trending to a crazy place. The whole third term talk is going to rub someone the wrong way, even on their own side.
I raised that possiblity about 2-3 months ago, Trump wanting to try and come back for 3rd term somehow by finding a loop hole. And already, he's talking about it not even 1 yr into this 4 yr term. He wants to be the Xi Jinping of USA ... "if that dictator can remove term, why can't I?"
Or, just not wanting to vacate the White House after next election (if Rep lose, rigged election result mantra again) but this time, all hell will break lose, civil war because rioters can use Jan 6 rioters as precedence.
BUT he will be like 82, won't he? Let's hope Simpson is right.
Yah he ain't joking, he's got an entire team working on how to make it happen and they're starting out be going down the "the constituation can be amended...." path....
I also would not be the slightest bit surprised if he got some ideas from talking to Zelensky when he was accusing Zelensky of being a "dictator" who doesn't hold elections and is staying in power due to war times... he may invoke something similar at the end of his term to stay on if he's unable to do so through amendment or legal routes. He's already invoked war measures to deport people with little or no resistance thus far.
Or he will follow in the footsteps of Lukashenko in Belarus and appoint Don Jr. his successor without an election.
The comments came after the three countries held their first economic dialogue in five years on Sunday, seeking to facilitate regional trade as the Asian export powers brace against U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs.
Japan and South Korea are seeking to import semiconductor raw materials from China, and China is also interested in purchasing chip products from Japan and South Korea, the account, Yuyuan Tantian, said in a post on Weibo.
All three sides agreed to strengthen supply chain cooperation and engage in more dialogue on export controls, the post said.
Trump has to be literally the worst international politician in US history to manage to get these three countries to work together. Absolutely unbelievable.
U.S. Department of Justice is seeking the death penalty for Luigi. He's the guy who allegedly killed a healthcare firm CEO.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said Tuesday the Justice Department will seek the death penalty for accused CEO killer Luigi Mangione.
Bondi said she will direct the interim US attorney for the Southern District of New York, Matthew Podolsky, to seek the death penalty in the case if Mangione is convicted on capital murder charges.
Mangione is facing state and federal charges for allegedly shooting UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Nidtown Manhattan in December. He has pleaded not guilty to the state charges. Mangione was charged in a federal criminal complaint but has not yet been indicted on those charges.
Is the death penalty the norm for 1st degree murder? Or is it just for killing a CEO?
I am not familiar with criminal law or any legal matters whatsoever so I don't know if the death penalty is the norm for a 1st degree murder charge in the U.S.
Harvey Specter, can you comment about this death penalty for the CEO killer Luigi?

Not at all the norm. Depends on state. We are talking like a few death penalties country wide per year, in a place with tens of thousands of murders, rapes, femicide, etc.
Parkland school shooter who killed 17 people at a high school in Florida did NOT get the death penalty, so we know
1 CEO > 17 students/school staff, at a very minimum in terms of worth in the US, unsurprisingly.

How does Booker hold up physically and mentally for this long to give a speech is a miracle. No bathroom breaks, no food and no water, no sleep.
-from the article:
Booker, 55, cannot yield the floor for a break, to sit down or to use the restroom because doing so would allow the presiding officer to move on with Senate business. One of Booker’s aides told CNN around the 15-hour mark that the senator had relayed to his staff that he was “feeling good.”
I think the senators can conduct questions which allows the speaker to go use the bathroom or take a speaking break.
Yeah, that's what I heard too. He can take a break if he hands the baton to another senator who is asking a question and those senators will end up asking a really long (like 20 min long) question so that Booker can eat and take a break. So like Chris Murphy and Elizabeth Warren have both helped with this.
However, he cannot just take a break without handing the baton over so technically the CNN story is accurate. Their omission was to not mention the option to baton pass for a question - baton passing for a question doesn't mean he yielding the floor so it's ok by the rules.
Genuine question, what's the goal? Is it to just say that much or does it delay something for the sake of a loophole.
It gets attention and Booker came with receipts which is not how this normally goes. These kinds of things are usually done to slow down a vote and the senator involved will just read random stuff but Booker's team and Booker himself are actually going through everything that Trump has done so far which is really, really impressive. The questions from the other senators are also seemingly organised - they are asking him to answer things that cover Trump related items.
It means all the media coverage he gets will cover his talking points - great way to "protest" so to speak.
Finally one of them not named Bernie or AOC is doing something besides playing cloak and dagger games and thinking it's not so bad as long as it doesn't affect their bottom line.

Trump’s national security adviser is trying to manage his way out of a crisis. But new revelations about his team’s operational security are piling up in the inbox...
The pure retarded reddit npc brains in this thread are astounding.
