Dodge Viper: V8 convertible for 2021? https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod...1527196320.jpg https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...gend-is-reborn for its 30th anni was the late 80s/early 90s the last golden age of sports cars? the final Enzo-era Ferrari, the NSX, the Miata and the Viper were all fresh designs at the time |
interesting concept,i wonder if they'll push the tech ahead and try involve a electric motor. |
|
That concept pic is :sweetjesus: Viper is one of those cars that always hold a special place in my heart. An old neighbor I had when I was doing undergrad in Vic had one and once he was kind enough to let me take it out for a spin. It was rough as hell and the epitome of a PURE muscle car; raw, mad and unforgiven. They should go back to that route and make a hybrid electrical that focuses on one thing and one thing ONLY: straight line acceleration/quarter miles. |

Didn't they cancel the viper because of bad sales? Why are they trying build it again? |
i feel like dodge needs to focus on making cars people want to buy instead of shitty darts/journeys/200s/durangos. at least in the 80s they were making money off k cars and mini vans they could afford a halo car |
^ Now is the time to reboot the Dakota. |

they probably wanna challenge the mid-engine C8 |
Can you really call a mid-engined corvette a corvette? |
^there's been mid engine corvette concepts almost as long as there's been corvettes. It's almost a shame to have not made a mid engine corvette after 60 years or talking about it |
