I know there's a lot of hate on Lil Tay, but the more I dig into this (I don't know why I even bother), the more sad it gets to see her being completely exploited for fame and money by the mastermind(s) behind all of it.

When out of character, you can see she's just a typical 9 year old kid who may not even be enjoying what she's doing.

A prostitute of sorts and her family are the pimps........... so sad. It just got out of hand, I guess. Why am I even...........? This world is messed up. Now more than ever.

Lol the world has gotten many multiples better. You are seeing these fucked up things because of dramatic increase in speed and access to information. Before, you would only read about the stupid, racist or general piece of garbage humans in the paper (or just tabloids). Now it's everywhere on the internet.

There are tons of good things happening, they are just considered the norm (which is fantastic) that nobody report about. Average people like dumbed down stories that are catchy and easy to read like these.

Well, through my three children, who are now all grown up and through their friends' experiences, stories, etc. I think it has gotten worse. I've been working with and coaching youth for over four decades, so I have a bit of first hand experience. I know the cream rises to the top in any generation and circumstance, and it's great to see that. I've worked with some amazing people over the years. Having said that, and you can ask any educator who's been in the field for over 50 years, the masses are not doing well. What kids could accomplish compared to those of today, it's a sad, sad situation. Again, I'm talking about the masses. Why? Too many factors to mention. Anyway, carry on carrying on.

Plus, the Internet is just for shits and giggles. I sort of understand that............. I mean....... Revscene............. nuff said.

All you have to do is look at popular culture and how it's changed over the decades.
Violence, sexual conduct, drug use, profanity. The same age brackets were watching leave it to beaver or i love Lucy. Listening to Ray Charles or patsy cline.

I don't have to tell you, MG, we call it progress.
We're surrounded by indecency and we wonder why people act...indecent?

The wife loves her Korean drama. Cultures that still respect the manner.

Beyond the manner, the vast amounts of choice have devalued just about everything. Music, programming, relationships..

Many researchers have also said technology is responsible for the drop in iq levels that developed nations have been experiencing since about the mid nineties.

You have no idea how many times I encounter people who have no idea what's a power cable is when i ask them to power cycle their router or people think the internet just works when I ask them to locate their router........

Is a sad sad world out there.

Hakkaboy 06-06-2018 02:33 PM

Too bad her collab for the dog adoption video got taken down. It was actually funny seeing them use her persona in the ad. She is what she is, and obviously not to be taken seriously

In the 90's it was all about Nick at night, and TV Land.
In the 80's it was KVOS 12. Don't you remember dialing for dollars?!

:chairdance:

Some of the stuff we used to watch was petty sappy. Happy Days and shows like that. I've watched Married with Children recently and that was pretty raunchy. But nothing compared to the Bachelor or these other "reality" type shows.

I truly believe that our societal downfall started with the 24 hr news feed, and was kicked into high gear with the advent of reality tv. Suddenly, everyone thinks they're going to be the next big thing.

That's what I thought too.
It's too bad that the mom and bro are terrible people. When contacted by buzzfeed, the mom was going to do an interview until they told her it wasn't a paid interview. She hung up the phone.

No kidding. Lil' Tay is just the tip of the iceberg. Even "Bhadbabie" (cash me outside girl) was 100% coached to act like a little shit on Dr. Phil. Now look at her... she has a record deal and is making loads of money. Kinda shows how willing our society is to exploit others (and ourselves) for 15 minutes of fame or a handful of cash. At the expense of self-respect, dignity, being a good person, etc.

As a more personal aside, look at the atrocious garbage that comes out of these "Soundcloud Rappers". I grew up listening to hip-hop and rap, and aside from a small handful of artists, I cannot stand the majority of the music that is being released now. Hell, even Kanye stopped making good music....

and "no ma'am" hahahaha

good times.

You don't remember Drambuie showcase review or Showcase Friday's Without Borders.

Here are some of the fine films they showed.
