Yup. We may have a few really talented young players, but that's not going to help much if they are sidelined due to injury. Every team is going to go after the good players. The kid looks pretty fragile.

Props to EP40. Pettersson is already in elite company in his rookie season:

Vancouver Canucks super rookie Elias Pettersson has found himself in some very elite company.
Playing in just his ninth game Friday against the Colorado Avalanche, Pettersson scored his eighth goal of the season, making him the first centre since Joe Sakic in 1988-89 to find the back of the net eight times in just their first nine games.
NYR would have to grant permission and AV won’t terminate his lucrative contract unless he gets a lucrative contract from another team, which LA likely isn’t offering on an interim basis.
Willie is probably the worst coach I’ve seen behind the bench of the Canucks, though Torts and Keenan stints were pretty terrible, but they had good resumes coming in (just terrible fits for existing player personnel).
Is there anywhere where appearances are more important than LA? and you've hired Twitchy mgee for behind the bench?
honestly i dont even think that Willy is a very good coach either, bad hire
That's because he's "real good"
I don't think Blake's job will be on the line with this hiring. There's a reason they gave him the interim head coach tag and not a full fledged head coach title. If they do well and recover their season then they can hire him on full time. If they continue to do poorly then Willie D can be the scapegoat and they can begin a new coach hunt.
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

Wow, anthem singer belting it out. Such control and tonnes of support.
Anyone remember Richard Loney? That guy was amazing. Not a powerful singer, but he had such a unique voice. 40 years of singing the anthems for Canucks.
And the Pacific Coliseum. Man that place was awesome. The atmosphere during hockey games.
