I haven't watched a full game in a while, but the reason I don't like Edler is he never makes a damn play with the puck. Or when he does it's a very shitty timed pass that puts his teammates in a position to turn it over. Like as soon as he touches the puck he dumps it off to his nearest teammate regardless what position his teammate is in. And drives me nuts when he falls to the ice and tries to play goalie. Try to block the shot or gtfo the way. And don't get me started on his drop pass zone entries.
That's what I see anyway, what do I know I've never played a game of hockey in my life
Reason I came in here was cuz I just watched Ice Guardians on netflix, a little long but good doc
I use to hate Edler, but as the years go by, I've learned to appreciate a defenseman who can play big minutes while not getting torched all night. Hard to find a player who can play 25minutes night after night against the other team's top line. The past few years really showed that our D is brutal without Edler. Imagine Del Zotto playing 25+ minutes a night?

Don't need to imagine, didn't it happen last year for quite a while

worst +\- in the league two seasons ago = getting torched.. generally
Edler is steady, to a degree...but sometimes, i wish he isn't falling asleep on plays. However, when Edler is on his A game, he is a very effective defenceman
+/- is a bogus stat, you can't determine a dmans effectiveness through that... he can only watch 1 maybe 1.5 guys at once, there's 4 other guys on the ice dropping their checks that can lead to goals nevermind if you're the top dman pairing you're constantly being deployed against the highest scoring line on the other team.
Also, Edler only gets deployed offensively on the power play, which has not been good the past few years and does not give you a + when you score on it.

yes and yes
Willie D misused Edler.. thus that horrible -\+ along with hutton lolol
on a separate topic.. never put beer/drinks/crap along the glass..
becuz this Tyler Seguin will knock it down and laugh lol
I know Schaller hasn't done f-all this season, but there was a story of him knocking someone's beer over in the warmup and going to the bench to get some cash and coming back and sliding money through the glass to the guy to buy him a new beer.

That's cool of him
Betcha Seguin slipped her his number tho hahahahha
Haha yah I was thinking he came off in that video clip like an awkward grade-schooler kicking dirt at a girl he likes cuz he doesn't know how to talk to her
Playing youth hockey, the hockey dads seemed to use games and practice as social time and would often chat standing right by the glass behind the net. I would take that opportunity to be a troll and purposely blast a puck right at them. My dad never seemed fazed, probably from having a mortar explode behind him. The other dads, however, would flinch and give me the dirtiest look as I

^Personally, I don't mind at all. I don't watch the Canucks much or keep up with their schedule, but at least I know when to expect game day posts. Discussing the anthem singer's performance at least brings to light a part of the sport which largely goes unnoticed or ignored. Once in a while, something weird/outrageous is bound to happen, and at least you can say you saw it live.
