EP40 is a better playmaker than Boeser. Petey has the soft hands and high hockey IQ to make passes to set up Brock and other linemates for goals.
Boeser has a quicker release on his wrist shot and snap shot compared to Pettersson. Pure sniper. He generates a tremendous amount of power on his shots.
This is pretty accurate. Boeser is streaky because he needs conditions to be right and a bit of room. At the beginning of the season he was struggling a bit because teams put the pressure on him due to his performance last year. Now other teams Petterson to worry about too so Boeser has more room.
Wasn’t Boeser fairly consistent last season when healthy? Ya he’s had a couple lucky ones recently but I wouldn’t consider him streaky at all just because of that.

Newsflash: Every goal scorer is a streaky goal scorer.
This reminds me of when 1040 was complaining about Kesler being an inconsistent goal scorer during his 41-goal season because he would score 4 goals in 2 games and then get 1 goal over the next 6 games.
No one consistently gets 1 goal every X amount of games.
Ovechkin, in the conversation as the best goal scorer of all-time, scored 49 last year.
He scored 7 in his first 2 games, then scored 3 over his next 11 games, then scored 3 in his next 3 games, then went 6 games without a goal, etc.
When the refs don't make the right calls. The players police themselves. Thus this is when things get out of hand and history shows that it definitely doesn't end well. It never does. Best example. Todd Bertuzzi

I wouldn't say Bertuzzi is the best example. Moore had already answered the bell with a fight earlier in the game. That's where it should of ended. The refs shouldn't have to expect the Canucks to keep coming after him until they get the match up and fight result they are happy with.
Good job NHL! Really cleaning up that part of the game! Brave stance!
It seems like certain team owners have more pull with the NHL front office than others *cough Boston cough* among others, especially when it comes to discipline. The next teams for consideration are the rest of the US teams, and the Canadian teams have the least. Zero tolerance when a player from Canadian team does something questionable to a player from a US team, and plenty of liberties given when its the other way around.

I agree there’s favortism towards some teams, but at the same time what GM is going to cry if a dumbshit bottom 6 forward like Martel gets suspended???
I could care less about Martel being suspended or not. That won't make Stecher feel better. I'm just happy that Jake and Guddy went after him. Suspended or not, TBL might not even play him next game.
