Granville Island is a good place for car photoshoots.

Gastown on a weekday after 9pm is good, Vancouver convention center is popular, and if u want an industrial vibe, you can checkout Kent Ave past oak.

It depends what you're looking for but any street/ parking lot can be a good place.

I once did a shoot on Robson at 3am, dead of winter with no one around the Christmas lights on the streets made the background look pretty. Brought a few strobes to help with foreground lighting etc

Literally everywhere. Its more about the shot than the location to be honest. Find one of the many great photographers on RS *cough Kevin, Bill, Justin *cough and get them to come shoot your car if you aren't super interested in the photography aspect, and if you are, just drive around, eyes open, and pull over.
If you can't think of anything theres always cypress though.:fullofwin:

Thats one thing I learned a few weeks ago, that if you want to get good shots of mountain backgrounds in the sunset, you are actually better off getting further away from them haha.

I always thought in New West under the railway tracks off Front St would be a wicked spot. If you could time it in the evening with high humidity and cold night to get some smoke out of the sewer drains it would be even cooler.
