Is it safe for us to assume the work was done through the dealership? If so, that is one hell of an expensive cost for appeasement.

While this might be that black book value, a used '09 RAV4 is worth more than that on Craig. Which trim was it?

That range is more of a Gen 2 RAV4 value.

If I have to guess, likely have to swap engine, swap ECU, upgrade transmission (?) axles and whatnot. I am likely wrong, however.
